  • Hi guys, I'm sick today so I had to stay home and do nothing, so I filmed this random video talking about my views about a few important things in fingerboarding, mostly style, sponsorships, fun, goals, etc. Hope you enjoy. There's a few tricks at the end too!

    I just got back into fingerboarding after 10 years and actually started making my own boards as well. I make massive 36mm fingerboards because I wanted the most comfort coming back in and have actually sold a few. It's nice to know that it doesn't really matter what kind of deck you ride as much as it's about preference.

    • @hfult
      @hfult 8 лет назад

      Ok plz tell me I just started fingerboarding so what does the 29 mm or the 32 mm mean

    • @N-VAMusic
      @N-VAMusic 8 лет назад

      its just the width of the board and is mostly just a matter of preference and comfort than performance. Since this post I've gone down to 33.6 mm boards which I sell for 15 a piece for just the deck in my town. I do them by commission.

    • @hfult
      @hfult 8 лет назад

      +Jeremy Novoa I used a ruler and 32 mm is pretty wide

    • @N-VAMusic
      @N-VAMusic 8 лет назад

      Yeah it gives you a bit more control over the board depending on the size of your fingers. I have pretty long fingers so a wider board just feels more comfortable for me. Yo'll have to experiment with different board types to find whats right for you.

    Thank you, this video was really inspiring. I have been working since about 9:00 PMish and it is currently past 12:45AM and this video has helped me calm down a little bit. This has also given me a bit of confidence I need to fingerboard at school. For most fingerboarders this seems to be an easy task but some of my closest friends make fun of me for it so it can get pretty hard to fingerboard. I am also afraid to mess up for that very reason and I think that this video can help plenty of other people with confidence issues and, to dome extent, even stress. So thank you and please keep making videos like this where you talk to the camera because I think you have a lot of awesome things to say in addition to your fingerboarding skills. So again, keep up the great work and please make more videos like this.

    Great video Mike.. and nice to see one of the most known fingerboarders being honest about fingerboarding, sponsorships and also RUclips. You don´t have to have the most expensive decks, wheels or trucks or ramps, rails and ledges to have fun.. kinda why i make videos showing how to make boards, molds and some obstacles and people seems to like it.. Again, i really enjoyed this video and your honesty... :)

    I'm 25, and I've been fingerboarding since tech deck was coming up. I used to watch fingerboard videos (fingers of fury) & mods (moshmellows). Then I found you on youtube years later and i did it for the same reason, I just wanted to watch what other people could do on a fingerboard, ok I borrowed tricks and combos here and there, but it still was something i did when i was bored and i could easily take along on a trip or to school. And becasue it was FUN. I hope you read this. Great video mike!

I ordered a deck from my buddy Sullivan, but it didn't come for a couple weeks but then one day I got a package in the mail from him even though we live real close. I open it up and there's a note inside. He gave me a pair of wheels, 2 decks, griptape and some stickers... For free. I was touched. I don't see the bad rep tech deck has. Someone uploaded a vid saying you won't get sponsored if you use a tech deck in your vids. Thats the only one I use right now and their re-released boards have a nice concave in the middle that just adds for smooth flips and grind positions. Maybe later I'll try other fingerboard companies. I'm just happy with the tech deck boards I have now. As long as I keep learning new moves on em I'll continue using em. Great vid !

    You are the fucking MAN!
    It's funny how the person who achieves greatness for their passion is the one who ultimately gains the wisdom to tell everybody else just to relax and have fun doing it.
    Thanks for being real.
