We can't complain about the pianist lagging behind..... it's a free video, with a likable rendition of a very, very difficult capriccio, which is a style giving great rhythmic latitude to the soloist. Just to hear Garrett on his fine violin is a sensation! That violin "speaks" perfectly on every note along the fingerboard, any string.. (!)
Now I for the first time listened to this piece. I listened to Menhuin and to Perlman, whom I adore, and I find that David's version is the most alive. I see goblins dancing when I listen to him. Especially the ones who try to sound like experts in this forum.

ne ho trovata un altra di David che suona la Dance dei Gobelin che quando suona brani virtuosi è eccezionale e poi ora è uscito un altro violinista che ho trovato bravo non ticordo il nome ed è più anziano di David fa fatica a camminare perché usa le stampelle dev essere russo e suona bene anche lui lo stesso brano ....ma David è David ivana
Io non discuto la sua bravura è isuperabile ma lo preferisco quando è Live quello per me è il vero David Garrett simpatico estroso con mille espressioni e attenzione ho sentito un violinista non è come te ma attento sta suonando molto bene ivana

I've only heard one other person play it up to today and that was Maxim Vergerov, on Classic FM, many months ago. I had thought that he was the best violinist ever, but David Garrett makes it look easy too, doesn't he? I thought it was nice that he played the whole piece too.

In my eyes - these guys are "best" because of their versatility and ability to utilize many different musical styles which is almost unimaginable for most of classical violin stars and virtuosos (no offend)....word "best" is very relative - before you say some one is the best in the whole wide world,consider what really mean those words...... I say again - let`s give respect to music! PEACE
Usually with these guys who are known to play fast they cannot play with feel and dynamics. They are merely acrobats. He has it all. He is a wonderful wonderful player
