@@jtparr6529 there’s definitely value in that, but I feel like when we say we benefit from diversity, we confuse race with someone’s actual demographic background or culture. So if he grew up with mostly Latino friends, while they are physically different from him, they all live near eachother and grew up in similar cultures. I think the sole fact that someone is a different race than u doesn’t matter as much, although it could be an indicator of a different culture than u. If he were to live in the city and had friends who grew up in a more rural area or friends who were immigrants, that is where the diversity could round him out. And I just meant it seemed unnecessary cuz it felt like u forced it as if u had to say it rather than u truly meant it, but obv I don’t know ur intention so my b for judging.
