Seeing the colours swatched next to each other like this has made me realize that I tend to prefer the dark cherry/burgundy colours over the more classic reds. Although some of those reds (like Unequivocally Red) were unbelievably stunning!
These classics are so beautiful, and it's very satisfying and relaxing to watch a professional application of them. All the nail polish RUclipsrs should be required to watch and learn from you! I find myself cringing sometimes at the gloopy, too-much-product-on-the-brush swatch videos out there.
Yes, too much product is problematic. I have noticed that too. It gives a good coverage but it doesn’t dry properly and it chips sooner (and it can bubble!). Usually manufacturers recommend 2 thin coats. Dazzle Dry recommends 1 thinner and 1 medium.

Mrs O'Learys BBQ is my very favorite OPI color......but it has been discontinued. Which color is the best substitute or dupe for it? I need a gel color not regular nail polish. Any ideas? Most colors I have tried miss that slight plum undertone.....TY!!
Love them all, but I'm a big fan of red polishes. As long as they don't lean too orange. To me, you can tell everything about a brand by their red polish. If they can't do a great red, especially a great red creme, then beware of the rest of the line. I may not like every OPI red as a matter of personal taste, but nobody can dispute that they are one of the best at doing this one color right. Nearly every red they do is a winner.
Nice application! I’m looking for a burgundy polish for myself so I watched this video to try to differentiate between the burgundies.. how do I decide which one to pick? like, they look so identical..

Or the multiple brush strokes three maybe four strokes not ten or fifteen to cover the nail. Many over work the polish.

Could you please swatch the shades on someone with a dusky skin tone, so as to see how the colours complement them?
I swatch on clients who come for regular manicures and volunteer their time to be my models :). So it’s not up to me really ;) Its who chooses me :)).
