Looking into my crystal ball i can see a set of coins featuring the Womens Weekly Birthday Cake designs. Probably released in a roll, with a folder, from Australia Post. Choo Choo Train, Swimming Pool, etc.
Definitely disappointed that they didn't release a Royal Visit 50 coin in 2024 - especially since I met Queen Camilla on the forecourt of the Opera House and was just a few feet away from The King. Hopefully we will get a Wedding Anniversary coin in 2025. The gallery press coins are 60th Anniversary of the RAM, so we will undoubtedly get the silver and gold proof coins of that design. Who knows what the theme of the year set will be, hopefully something better than Vegemite set of 2023.
I believe the recession will really bite in 2025 - it's already starting so I am going to buckle up and pay down more debt rather than buying PM and certainly not touching anything "collectable" unless it has fundamental value. It's going to be tough but collecting needs to be a discretionary spend. I might just buy one or two key coins but will wait to see what they are (like the PM 125th) for example was last yr. Maybe the MOR's 40th might be the only one? Who knows? There will be no rush in 2025. Retail is suffering so will always have opportunity to sit it out wait to see what's really worth a buy and hold and see what the market price does. Just MO
I totally agree with you, I think we will see coins not selling out as fast. And I’m definitely cutting back on my spending. More gold and silver for 2025 👍
