It was a long time ago.. i was in jail and I was reading the bible and I would read it all the time.. there were some muslims in the dorm i was in and one came up to me and he would talk to me about the bible. One day he handed me a quran and said if i really wanted to know the truth about god to read this book. So I did. And it was so poorly written that I had to force myself to read it. While reading it i felt this weight on me and idk how to explain it. It made me anxious and i felt this darkness. Its a very oppressive book
You are so right! The first time I read it, I laughed! I had read some of the fake so-called gospels that the Quran borrows and the folk tales like the Seven Sleepers of Ephesus. I had no idea that the Quran had put them in as God's word. They have to try to stay ignorant.
I know exactly what you mean. A few years back I became aquainted with a muslim woman. At some point she quoted something from the quran that I knew was BS, so I started to debate her on what it actually said. She couldn't defend herself as I showed her in my own quran exactly what she had quoted and why she was wrong. Deflecting, she said it didn't matter and I would love the passage if she recited it to me. She did, and it was like a black cloud was transferred from her mouth to me, latching on and wouldn't leave me. I'm not christian, technically, but asked some christians to pray for me to get rid of this demonic force. Next day it had vanished.

@Kingfishertim24 it's so incoherent it confused me. And I remember my momma telling me the devil is the author of confusion and that's when I realized that the quran wasn't a holy book.
I read the quran & I couldn't read more than two pages at a time. It seemed like it took forever. At the end I realized I didn't learn anything.

When l was 8 years old l came across a Quran at the school library. It was so awful. It had no logic or chronological order whatsoever l put it aside with disgust. Being a person who loves reading l couldn’t get why or how a book would be so sickly twisted.

Muslims should really read more to see how shoddily written the Qur'an is, the only reason they say the Qur'an is peak literature is because the Qur'an itself claims it's the most elegant and perfectly detailed text in the original Arabic.

Nice work. Anyone who has read the Qur'an knows that it is completely unhistorical. It contradicts the established facts of history, it conflates events that took place centuries apart and in different geographical locations, it confuses people who lived in entirely different time periods and locales. Missing parts of the Bible have to do with early revisionists like the blasphemous Origin and Clement of Alexandria when copies of the Bible were few thought to distort the Divinity of Jesus to fit their views. Thank God for the Waldenses and others that preserved the ancient texts even though most were destroyed. We have evidence for 1 John 5:7, 8, Mark 16, etc... In their manuscripts and quoted by early followers of Christ.

Most people don't even know what inspiration is.
You can say Einstein was inspired by science to write E=MC2 but he didn't come up with that out of thin air. He would need the education to know what E is, what M is and what C is before he could see this scientific truth and then use his own words to write it down.
Bible authors are like that, they are educated by the Holy Spirit to write down truthful scriptures using their own words.

The bible is a library of book written by over 40 different individuals over 1500 years from numerous locations throughout the world, with the Holy Spirit as author inspiring the written word and compiled together to form one unified story of human and redemptive history. It is not a scientific textbook but when it speaks to science it is a true, when it speaks to history it is accurate and when it speaks to faith and conduct it can be entirely trusted for the forgiveness of sins and personal salvation.

Since the books of the Bible weren't finally collated, compiled and agreed upon until centuries after the individual books were written, it would be impossible for the Bible to 'say' anything definitive about who or what inspired it - the Bible didn't exist when all the individual writers were penning their books. Furthermore there's no definitive one version of the Bible. There's many translations and versions which are based on copies of copies of manuscripts and in the process of copying and translating from different languages errors and omissions were made. Whenever anything is written in the Bible is based on word of mouth and not written down for decades or centuries later then, that cannot be relied upon either. Neither can we rely on the words of those who directly wrote books in the Bible such as Paul. Their writings aren't necessarily subjective or historically accurate😄@@defenderoftruth3212

If it's pushing the 10 commandments, then how does one have surahs where the author is granting himself an Allah-given "right to loot", which is actually stealing. It does not teach on the Jewish sabbath, has no great teaching on "you shall not covet", nor on honouring one's parents. No Gods before me, but then why is the prophet getting made a partner of Allah ?
That idea of Surah 85 being about the 10 commandments sounds plausible. The Quran text seems to have metamorphized when updated from the original 7C script, and so got a bit baffling, so maybe often the original meaning got lost.

I took 2 Islam classes in college, by a devout Muslim professor in a Muslim tunic, and read the Qur'an. It was obvious to me, having read actual scripture like the Bible and Book of Mormon, that the Qur'an was written relatively recently by people wanting to write a guide book, taken from Arabic customs and culture, and has no truth to it. It's honest and helpful to acknowledge the Bible has many errors, contradictions, and was written and altered by men but, the pure teachings of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, and his life and purpose, come through clear.
"It is not the eyes that are blind, but the heart" is a paraphrase of a verse from the Quran, specifically Surah Al-Hajj (22:46), This statement means that it is not physical blindness that prevents a person from seeing the truth, but rather a lack of understanding or a closed mind, May Allah guide you all..
yes i know many who have left islam reading that made up book , i have people from my church who have left islam and one story was a man who was a muslim and was reading the bible and became vexed because he didnt no which one was true and he sought God asking him which one and he clearly heard a voice say the bible was the truth he is now a believer in Jesus as is very happy and i knew a young man from a middle eastern country a sunni muslim whos dad was a muslim religious leader , anyway he was on his roof one day reading when he saw a vision in the sky of two hands holding a key he was very scared and wondered what this meant a time latter he heard a christian missionary speak in his country and he spoke on the new testament verse that Jesus Christ hold the keys to death and hell and the light went on in his heart and he became a believer in Jesus so now you need your eyes open to the truth ask God to show you which is true and if you are sincere he will, God bless

The Canon of the Bible was determined by the Catholic Church during the first three centuries after Jesus's death, resurrection, and ascension. It is Christ that is the word of God as Saint John states in Revelation.
This is misleading. The Catholic Church didn't exist, there was just The Church. And they didn't determine anything, they merely accepted the books that all of the smaller churches around the empire were using and put them into a single codex.

I would say that the Bible was pure when given (in Aramaic) however the translators can make a close mistake such as for example the translators used the word "world" instead of era or age. The Scriptures are clear that this world (planet) will never end. Yet in a Scripture they translate the word age to "end of the world". Instead of "end of the age" as it should have read. When a translator has more then one word they can use to translate, they may choose the wrong one. I'm saying that the TRANSLATORS are who get things messed up at times and not the Creator giving the message.

Most are in fact spelling differences/errors with a few examples of later additions that again effect nothing when it comes to the doctrine/theology of the Bible.

It is similar to lineage and times/years that were reported differently depending on which kingdom they came from as in Northern or Southern. Also when dealing with extremely large numbers as in these cases it was not so much an accurate count but intended to express vast numbers the likes of which many would never see for themselves...

One from the lineage of the father and the other from the mothers lineage. There are also skips in the lists just as with all ancient genealogies to make memorization easier or for a specific reason in some cases. Maybe do some actual study to find out what these supposed contradictions actually are before bringing them up and looking foolish.
