Its crazy if you think of it as him being the highest paid QB or tied for it. But think of the timing of it more. My understanding is it takes place after his contract now wouldve ended. By that time it wont be the highest number and it will end up saving them 5+m a season by the time it dors take over. I could be wrong on that though but guarenteed he was going to be the QB regardless the next several seasons unless they were going to pay Mac Jones to be the guy
This isnt like the Dak situation. Dak is coming to the end of his rookie contract.

Trevor Lawrence isn't within a stones throw of Justin Herbert. What a hack take. Everyone that brings up the playoff game clearly didn't watch that game, because they blank on Lawrence's 4 interceptions and somehow credit him with the victory.
I’d argue the completely opposite take. Herbert has done less in his career with more.

@@exthereon6916 Can't see how, the stats clearly demonstrate otherwise. Both have had subpar defenses and coaching. I could agree the receiving was marginally better on the Chargers. But, hey at the end of the day it's just a game.

He was one I& if not the most pressured QB and he got 4 consecutive injuries including a concussion. ‘Stats’ won’t tell you that. There is literally a minute long video of his receivers dropping passes. The Casuals don’t see this and just go off stats. They ignore the fact the jags had the no 1 pick 2 years in a row. Their squad was garbage and is only now starting to look halfway decent.

Well they might just as well keep a terrible quarterback Trevor can only throw 20 yards he throws countless interceptions our they are my home team unfortunately we have the worst home team in the NFL it’s time to sell them they are called the jokeuars for a reason 2022 was the first time in the playoffs since 1998 they only were there because they played so badly that all the teams they played against felt sorry for them and threw the game but that was a one time only pitty the jokeuars will never see the playoffs ever again that means no superbowl ever just like last season they will win only home games because they have hometown referees that rule only in their favor that way they get an easy win it’s embarrassing that we have a team that has to cheat just to win time to sell them and get a new team and start over the jokeuars are past the point of no return they are done they will never be a good team ever again
