That's a great food haul. I am so glad that you were able to get so much food. And you are always so thankful for it. I like how you show us driving around your town to get to the pantry. I live in Phoenix and we don't get snow here. I think the snow is pretty. I grew up in Ohio.

When it's cool that they let you select on that sheet of paper so you basically get everything that you really do eat and then you get some extra I think that's kind of useful cuz they're not wasting that's pretty cool with my parents did that mine is kind of a walkthrough where you walk through and pick up the shelves so I guess kind of the same type of thing 👍👍👍❤️

Stay warm. I went to a church food pantry. They were giving out chickens. You could get up to 12. I have a small freezer. It was full. Sam's club had donated 275 chickens. I did get tomatoes, fresh pineapple, mushrooms, a premade chicken enchilada meal. It had hatch chilies on it. Was really good. I am like you greatful for what I get. I have a young couple with 2 little ones next door. If I get too much of something I share with them. The 3 year old loves my zucchini muffins
Great haul. I'm impressed by what all you got. I wish our food banks here in shelby nc would let us have a choice. Me and my friend try to trade off things we don't like. We are so grateful and I can tell you are too
Good evening Dale, I am watching a few "Food Bank" hauls yours and a few others. I live in AZ and am a Board of Director for one of the Food Banks near me. It is interesting to see how each food bank does their clients, customers, individuals. We call our individuals clients while others use other names, It all means the same. Just always be respectful. While you get a choice of what you want, while at our facility you are given whatever we have. Exceptions are allergies and sometimes we have dog food and cat food. We used to get diapers sometimes also but not so much anymore. How often can you go to the food bank? Ours you can go to 2 X's a month. It caught my attention when you said "THANK YOU" to the volunteers. I know without our volunteers we would not be able to function. I attend a lot of fundraisers for our Food Bank in addition to out events'. We have come up with a few new ones for the upcoming year that we are hoping will add funds to our budget. We go out for grants, food drives, our biggest fundraiser is the upcoming golf event. I get to stand on one of the holes measuring for the longest drive. All the golfers have a good time. Lot's of work behind the scenes getting ready for it. But, well worth it. We do not get funds from the GOVT unless it is the form of a grant. For several years that is what I did in addition to my other duties, going out for grants. Lot's of hard work. Sorry I got carried away, I just wanted to say Thank You to you for . realizing it takes a lot from the volunteers. When I train someone the first day I tell them is It's a lot of work, Hard Work, and the person can be a demanding Jerk or Karen. But most important is "No Judgements". Because you have no idea why they are in need. bottom line is they are in need. That's why we are here. Thanks again Dale and I am sorry about Wilma and I understand the loss of a pet. NICE! Haven't been to food banks in a while! Covoid increased my EBT amount so my shelves pretty full even after they went back to my normal amount on EBT. Waiting to see if I get the medicare savings program here! I have a number of meals I can do with my 2 crockpots. I used to volunteer at food banks part of my requirement for VA program when your homeless. Even got hired by two of them! Had to move for Obamacare since VA would not do other than the pill mill! In 10 years got 8 surgeries! Now with medicare have to have my 3rd stomach surgery! Found out they could have did it with the last one 6 years ago! Had back surgery a year later so the stomach nerve pain keeps setting off the back pain still. I have gotten the run around before almost like they want to keep you on being a repeat patient to milk you! My top tiered plan from work did that along with pill mill so they cost you almost everything and end up homeless when you can't work full time for healthcare letting those taxes you paid foot the bill! I figure housing, healthcare, EBT cost taxpayers a quarter of a million dollars so far! Meanwhile keep voting for the same politicians who take donations of money from Pill mills, Hospitals and insurance lobby! If I had got the surgery I should have had could have kept working full time and be putting in on taxes like I used to instead of the quack healthcare!

Careful with any respiratory illness. My husband came down with something two weeks ago and missed four days of work. He still doesn't feel great, but he never went to a doctor. We had about 3 inches of snow (rural Michigan) but it has melted.
Great haul. So many foodbanks are having to cut amts and quality of their donations because demand is so great. OR the government entities are only marginally interested in actually feeding people. Stay well- tea and honey
I read not to put a metal spoon in your honey. The metal kills the natural healing properties. Use wood or plastic. I ruined a quart jar of local wildflower honey I bought for cough, cold, allergy, etc.

Yeah that cough doesn't sound good. Take extra doses of vitamin C if you can it'll dry those congested lungs or make you bring all that up. You can make refrigerator pickles out of some of those cucs. You got a great haul on the bacon alone, not to mention the steak, and venison. We don't buy much meat now a days unless it's on sale and then I try to stretch it as far as possible. Eggs going up again too, as well as coffee.
I enjoyed seeing the groceries you received. Agree there is so much you can do with the produce. I can get past the embarrassment of going to food bank. I had to when we had 7 children and he lost his job but I never went without feeling guilty & embarrassed. How do you handle it?
Wow. Tons of food this time. I love seeing what you get and trying to figure out what you can make with the items. I love to cut up and fry bacon. Drain most of the grease and add cooked egg noodles. I’d too for sprinkle Parmesan cheese, sprinkle a little ontop. Yum Google 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies. I think it only calls for peanut bitter, sugar, and egg. So easy and delicious. That chuck steak looks big enough to cook as a small roast. Throw some potatoes in the roasting pan too. So many things today. Enjoy.
I see BLT's in your future and some nice salads. If you need to use up those cucumbers 🥒 I have a recipe for refrigerator bread and butter pickles. They will last about 3-4 weeks in your fridge. And those peanut butter cookies can be made with like 2-3 ingredients. And it sounds like you're getting bronchitis.

People can make fun of full banks all they want , but one time I went to the food bank, and they gave me some steaks like three steaks I was like oh my God🤣👏🏾🔥
The wealthiest need to invest into the human factor a whole lot more. I've donated even though I'm living on the SS I invested in my future after 40 some years and I would give food to anyone who would come to my door hungry.😢
That is a GREAT HAUL … SUCH GOOD FOOD .. so many times food pantries give out food that isn’t so nutritious. I cannot believe all the fabulous meat you’ve got enjoy it and please take good care of that cough. I hope you’re feeling better soon.
I like how all these people who go to food banks have a vehicle. There's a lot of people without transportation that are unable to go to any food bank that really have a need.
So the implication is that if you have a vehicle you don't deserve food. Eat your car instead. I volunteer at our food bank. I'm in a big city so a lot of people take public transit. We also provide fares for transit so people aren't using money they could have for something else.

Yeah that cough doesn't sound good. Take extra doses of vitamin C if you can it'll dry those congested lungs or make you bring all that up. You can make refrigerator pickles out of some of those cucs. You got a great haul on the bacon alone, not to mention the steak, and venison. We don't buy much meat now a days unless it's on sale and then I try to stretch it as far as possible. Eggs going up again too, as well as coffee.

I can get past the embarrassment of going to food bank. I had to when we had 7 children and he lost his job but I never went without feeling guilty & embarrassed. How do you handle it?

I love to cut up and fry bacon. Drain most of the grease and add cooked egg noodles. I’d too for sprinkle Parmesan cheese, sprinkle a little ontop. Yum
Google 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies. I think it only calls for peanut bitter, sugar, and egg. So easy and delicious.
That chuck steak looks big enough to cook as a small roast. Throw some potatoes in the roasting pan too.

I see BLT's in your future and some nice salads. If you need to use up those cucumbers 🥒 I have a recipe for refrigerator bread and butter pickles. They will last about 3-4 weeks in your fridge. And those peanut butter cookies can be made with like 2-3 ingredients. And it sounds like you're getting bronchitis.

Try 1 egg, 1 cup p.butter and 1 cup sugar. Stir, put about 1 tablespoonful on cookie sheet , mash down with fork. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes!

People can make fun of full banks all they want , but one time I went to the food bank, and they gave me some steaks like three steaks I was like oh my God🤣👏🏾🔥

The food bank in our county no longer gives out food. They closed down. A lot of people depended on them.

I like how all these people who go to food banks have a vehicle. There's a lot of people without transportation that are unable to go to any food bank that really have a need.
Some of those vehicles ARE bringing Folks there . This Pantry also delivers. Thanks for Watching !!
The way I volunteer at my local food pantry is to drive people who have no cars.
WE HAVE NO DELIVERIES, WE HAVE NO VOLUNTEERS HERE. STFU
So the implication is that if you have a vehicle you don't deserve food. Eat your car instead. I volunteer at our food bank. I'm in a big city so a lot of people take public transit. We also provide fares for transit so people aren't using money they could have for something else.
