  • A lot of new trappers have drawn fisher tags here in Wisconsin and the question I have been getting is how do you trap them. Here are some of the sets and how to make them

Thanks Sam for making all these trapping videos, I know you're probably busy but as a new trapper Ive learned a ton from your videos and I appreciate you making them, really helps us new guys in Wisconsin that dont have friends/family that trap but are getting into it. You are helping to keep the tradition going.

I got a fisher tag this year! Can’t wait to try your sets. I love when you yell about the lure! My wife smelled the box out on the porch and would let me bring it in the house.😅

Awesome video Sam. Here in North Dakota the Fischer season is only open for 6 days so I totally agree with the more traps the better.

Also TOTALLY agree with yr thoughts on Wisconsin should B A quota management system! Everybody who applies for tag should get one, and DNR shut it down when quota is met, THAT SIMPLE!

Brian Truhlar and have a two minute season like the wolf quota debacle, no thanks . There are too many sportsmen today for the quota to work. Quota systems work well in low sportsmen population to game ratios. This is certainly not the case in Wisconsin. Too much demand too little land

here in Tennessee you have to have your trapping license but the only tag you have to get is for Bobcat if you are selling it out the USA you can trap and get as many Fisher you want here no limits beaver coyote and groundhogs are open all year long here

Been trapping Fisher since the tags became available for sale in PA and I think I've only ever been skunked 1 year. They are not hard to catch it's like mink it's a waiting game. Cubbies kill the living shit out of them. We cant use any conibears above the high water mark so it's foothold cubbies on the high ground and 160 cubbies made out of wood to legal specs in the creek beds.

Agree. Leaving animals in the wild - best way to go. Hunting for food is OK - hunting just to kill them is meaningless.
