Owner replaced the starter, reconnected the battery, and now NO CRANK!
IMMOBILIZER light is blinking and the truck is not happy.

If you run into this issue with corrosion on tipm connectors , make sure left inner fender is intact and the holder that it snaps into. other wise the spray off the tire will just ruin any repair!

With 207000 miles the starter replacement is questionable but could have been legitimate.
Other than what you did with the deoxit, I would have checked the fuses, relays etc in the TIPM just to be sure no more green crusties were visible. Just a thought.

    Corrosion can affect anything electrical...
On my 8th gen 01 Corolla, i discovered that the cooling fans turned on with engine off but key on run position. My research lead me to look at the air conditioner high pressure switch since others reported the same symptom i had. I ruled out the coolant temperature sensor because last fall I replaced that since at that time I had a coolant temperature inefficient code (p0125 code i think) with new water pump and thermostat. Last summer I replaced the water pump since the bearing sounded angry. I replaced the thermostat because it was right there as well and I generally prefer to replace that when I buy a new to me car.
Since I don't have the equipment to evacuate the refrigerant, I chose the dealer to do that, but I chose to put the lead tech on a test to see how he diagnoses an issue. He originally thought it was either the coolant sensor or the AC pressure switch. Talking with him, I had him remove the connector to the switch to see how that was. It was green with corrosion. I have the switch and even after he cleaned it as a temporary fix until the new switch came in the next day, it has green crusties on the pins.
After replacing the switch, AC gets even colder than it was before. It was always good and cold, but it is running more efficiently now.

My niece was clearing out my half-brother's stuff after he passed away. They were trying to sell his Jeep Cherokee. They couldn't get the engine to stay running. Ask me if I would look at it. Went to my half-brother's house and got into his car and started, but it wouldn't stay running, at that point I notice the security light was on in the dash. Asked my niece if they had another key for the car. She searches around and found another key. Started the car with the new key and it remained running. The key that she first gave me was a key that was cut at an Ace hardware store. It would open the doors and start the engine, but it didn't have the chip to keep the engine running.
