What fantastic spectator support just lifted the whole atmosphere everyone
enjoying the race
What a fast race!
Thank god. They about my high school PR from 05'. 4:18.54.
Phew. Almost got beat by these amazing ladies!
I wish that FloTrack would list the exact date, place and event name for these events.
Pretty sure I was at this race haha, so many delays with the weather. Props to the runner 🙌🏼
Would you happen to know the little girl running on the infield? See my comment above.
Wish Katelyn T. Would have been part of this race.
I miss these days.
That was an amazing race, wow 👀 !
That was a great race!!!
Fun to see Morgan in a race back a ways!
If you ever think kids aren't watching or looking up to you as an athlete.....Watch this video from the 2:45 minute to about 3 minute marks. Theres a little girl in a shirt and pink shirt running on the infield in line with the competing athletes. As an athlete....as a person....remember there's always someone watching you....Looking up to you. I would love to know whom the little girl is and if she is now a runner? I watched this video 1 time and that's what I walked away with.
Viva. El. Atletismo.

Wow ALL HIGH SCHOOL girls Running a mile Under 5 minutes is incredible to me!
At 1.40 I want the pace setter to win.
Some one tell these commentators they have invented binoculars.
Where are all the finishing times?
Question--is it common to have the spectators on the track like that? I've never seen it, but I'm also not a track & field expert.
I have not ever seen it in high school or college. Usually, spectators are not allowed on the track or field. However, whoever the governing body is holding the meet would be responsible for those rules. Different places may have different rules.
@@spartanxcpics4420 Wild. They even let folks into lane three, so the athletes have no choice but to keep it tight if they want to make a move around the pack.
It is pretty rare....at the Olympic training center once I got to stand on the track to watch a race. It is an amazing experience as a spectator.
This is a unique race mile only in Raleigh, NC. Sir Walter Mile. Pretty SICK
It's becoming more and more common. I've seen it for distance races for maybe a dozen years or more.
The idea is to invigorate the runners and to make the spectators feel like they're a part of the race.
'It works well as long as the spectators don't do what they love to do: merge into the running area of the track, stick their arms out in front of the runners with their cell phones taking video/photos, and getting excited and running alongside the runners and even crossing the finish line screwing up the fully electronic timing.[If you look at the video, about 10 meters before the finish line there's a set of hurdles to keep the fans on the 'right' side and away from the finish line. Now notice the 15-20 fans that ignored that barrier and are right near the finish line.]
I've been taking photos for Track & Field News for 45 years now so I'm out on the track all of the time. If there's a way for a fan, a coach or another athlete to totally ignore the rules of decorum and track presence--they'll do it.
I didn't see 1 fan go crazy! Nice race but change title...
Yeah, the title makes it seem like fans rushed the track in a crazed frenzy, like the Stanford band.
Fit women are so damn hot.
😆
I would hope that the organizers of the race to demand of the two announcers NOT to talk OVER the announcer that is calling the race to the fans.
I don't think you understand what was going on. Yes, there's one announcer calling it live for the fans. But these two we are listening to, are announcing for a livestream which lets us then see it on RUclips. Organizers of the race wouldn't have any input once they approve the livestream. It's the same in almost all high school livestreams even at state tournaments. If it were a windy day, the live announcer's voice might not be picked up by livestream mics.
They didn't go wild and it was not an incredible finish. What a liar.
Exactly!
Really stupid to let fans on the track like that.
Is this College Women?
Possibly the most inept broadcasting in the history of the sport...hopefully they were volunteers.
Too bad soon.. some guy named Sue will win this...thanks demented Joe.
Thanks for politicizing this beautiful race - IDIOT!
Is there an advantage in wearing running shorts that look like panties?
more viewers
Are you referring to bun hugger shorts? They've been around for more than 40 years. Are you just noticing?
@@FineFlicks342 I don't watch these things, this one just turned up on my recommendations. I took a look.
