Hi Christine! I am just amazed that people are still treating this pandemic as if it is just a "simple" flu. I just cringe when I see anti maskers, conspiracy theorist, etc. It makes my blood boil as ICU's and hospitals are filling up. Those same people who are not taking it seriously don't realize if they are in a car accident, have a serious stroke, heart attack, infection, etc. there may be no room for them in the ICU. The nail wraps are fun. They are a little kinder to your nails and I just love the patterns and colours. Anything to distract me and help the stress! Take care and be well!!
I have started using the nail wraps too and a tip that I have found that helps tremendously is to use a clear coat polish on top of them and it helps them stay on A LOT better! I hand wash our dishes and am so rough with my nails and hands so none would stay for long on me. I ordered the Essie clear coat polish (on Amazon) and now they stay on for quite a while! Agatha Christie was the best mystery write. I have every book she wrote and have read them all more than once. I went on a mission to find all her books in various thrift stores about 8 years ago and managed to find them all. I find it hard to find anyone as good as her when it comes to mystery. Will try Minette Walters. PD James books are good too.
I can't believe I've never read any of her books. Just finishing up another book now and will dive into Death on the Nile. I think you would enjoy Minette Walters. I'll check out PD James. Thanks for the suggestions!
Hi Heidi I am so sorry that you are in lockdown again. I know our numbers keep going up everyday but people just refuse to take precautions. I am supposed to have someone come in and help me with the house but I am afraid she might bring covid in my house. I do love your nail strips and I would love to support Ramona but my nail beds are about 1/2 the size of yours maybe even smaller and I think they would not work for me. They are child size and of course do not grow. I too, would go overboard buying them. I've been trying to sort my wax and I swear it grows by itself. Unfortunately the same people who are still acting like it's a big hoax, conspiracy and just the routine flu don't understand that if they are in a car accident, have a serious life threatening stroke, heart attack, sepsis, complication after emergency surgery, there may be no room in the ICU for them. I'm afraid in some states the doctors will have to start picking and choosing who they will try to save as resources just aren't there. I would never want to have to make a choice like that. People who are protesting are definitely only thinking of themselves instead of the whole picture. My new books and nail wraps will hopefully keep me somewhat distracted from all the crap going on. Take care and yes, the boys can be troublemakers but no matter what they do we just love them!

The book "A Secret and Lawful Killing" was only a $1 at the book store but it's one of the better books I've read recently. Yes, the nail wraps are slightly addictive aren't they! I just love the ease, longevity and fun patterns! Had to work New Years Day and was verbally abused by a patient and his family most of the day. Other than that, the weeks gone well!! We are in Lockdown til, well, who knows 😕 Our hospitals are getting overwhelmed and all air travel corridors are suspended from 4am GMT Monday morning. Over a thousand people a day are dying. It's bad here. They are now enforcing the wearing of masks in shops, which they should have done a long time ago. Also talk of 3m or 10ft social distancing may be required. Scary times.
Your country certainly has been hit hard. Everyone in the hospital I work at predicted a big surge after the holidays. We have been wearing masks in stores since the summer but I think it should have started back in March. I know there is some great nail wrap stores on Etsy that are located in the UK. I think Express Manicure is one of them. Our lockdown is continuing till at least mid February but keeps being extended so I'm sure it will go longer. Our numbers are already going down so hopefully it will do the trick. I hope you and your family and friends stay well!!

Haven't heard of nail wraps - last time was getting a manicure would get the gel nails. Just haven't been anywhere past year really. I decided to let it grow out and it's getting hard to control as it's at the really awkward stage. I love my books and can't go to sleep without reading a few chapters no matter how tired I am. Yes, our lockdown should have happened sooner also. I guess they figured people would be really ticked if they couldn't go out and do their Christmas shopping. I haven't read any of the River of London series but will definitely look into it. Thanks for the suggestion!!
