- This is my recently set up AGA 125G with 15G grow out below. This is my all male Hap and Peacock tank. Placidochromis Electra,Placidochromis Phenochilus tanzania,Tramitochromis Intermedius, Copadichromis Azureus,Copadichromis Borleyi,Aulonocara Baenschi, Aul. Rubescens Red,Red Empress,Aul.Lwanda,Aul. Eureka Albino,Aul. Chilumba,Dimidiochromis Compressicep, Taiwan Reef,Protomelas Spilonotus Tanzania, Synodontis Mutipunctatus, Placidochromis Johnstoni Kachimungi,Cyrtocara moorii
Very nice selection of fish. Maybe some more caves so they can hide from the light at times. Awesome!
I met this man the other nite. Gotta be one of the best individuals I've come across in a min. U was wasnt playin when you said all males, you've inspired me to go fishing tonite and kick my females out of the mix. That looks soooo tight!!

This is great man! I love how your rocks are so sparse, making the fish the focal point of this tank. And I guess with no females they have no territorial issues. I wish I could use this same method, but I already have some females and none of my suppliers are able to sex the fish (typical LFS bullshit.)

Nice tank man, I tried sand but switched to seashell the sand was really hard to clean.Props.

one of my favs. love it!
Light colored sand and decor fades there colors as well as water parameters that are not up to par. so try adding some darker decor, even black background and check your water levels

if your at 8-9pH your fine cuz thats the pH in the wild, anyways tonaturally lower your pH, you would want to use wood as it makes the water acidic as it decays
i have 2 peacocks and 3 haps in my tank aswell , looking at yours when upgrading from 55gal tank , im starting to hope that 90 i want will be big enough.. i just cant do a 6 foot tank

@F8LBITEva Males tend to "buff" their colours alittle, as they want to show all their colours to get the females attention.
Do you have any agression problems? I noticed that with just few exceptions, the tails and fins of the fish are ok. So, It seems like everything is under control. I have a 285 all male show tank, but I have some fish with the tales and fins in bad conditions. I moved the few females and the haps from the tank. I only have now the peacocks. The situation improves, but I can see some agression.

@TonyMontana011 it says male display tank for a reason. if he put in females they would all become agressive and ruin the peacefull look of the tank
125 gallon tank and 1 heater? suppose if everything working fine no need to change

@UKdave84 I think they would be bad anything really from the wild is bad and prolly has other critters unless you sadly sterilize the rocks

@TonyMontana011 females will make them more aggressive because they'd wanna mate the tank looks pretty peaceful now..
been a year, have you figured out the prob? i was thinking it was not crowded enough to displace the aggression.

Tubes and heaters in the tank need to go. The best UTube videos of all african male tanks have the tubes and heaters designed out via sumps or other options.

@taijiangah your males are fighting constantly to win over your females. As im sure you know, males are generally more colorful than females. So one way peaple make really colorful tanks is to get only males. If there are no females in the tank, the males dont fight as much. They still may but the best ways to keep them from fighting is to keep only one male of each species.
Hey, do you know if male cichlids can turn into females? Cos I think one of mine has either become a girl or come out of the closet, cos his mouth is huge and he aint eating a thing!

@brandon112350 depends how many females with the one male, the more females with the male the better and quicker it is to have fry.
I just got a male turkis peacock and i put 6 females with it .......3 are pregnant
