How do i go from User 2 to User 1 like him?
Got my launchpad 2 days ago and decided to learn this first since my wife really likes it. I can play up until the start of page 4 so far but I don't think that's too bad for just starting aha. My main issue is that after 2-3 hours my arm and hands get really sore so I have to stop ahah.
Keep doing it and you'll nail it
When you started learning, did you have to setup the song or did it work just by downloading the project file? I have had some trouble getting the project file to work properly. I don't know much about Ableton. I went the the read me and I followed the instructions, and it's still not working.

So, I loaded the project file into Ableton and did the following:
1. Selected User 2 on my launchpad.
2. I selected midi on the top right.
3. I selected chain selector.
4. I pressed the two buttons on the top left of my launchpad right underneath the up and down arrows.
5. Moved back to user 1 and all of the sounds are still not mapped properly.
Am I doing something wrong? I thought I followed all of the steps correctly however it seems that I have not. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
There are 2 chain selectors in this project. Make sure youre clicking the one with only 2 chains.
For those people that are having issues with mapping after following the READ ME file, the file may already be started on one of the later pages.
At 4:38 hit the upper left hand corner button of User 2 and go back to User 1 and retry

To whosoever who has the binding problem, In your Launchpad go to User2 mod and click the topmost key to the left(the first key). Then jump back to user 1 mode and play like normal (you have to switch to next page after sometime in the song so just go back to user 2 mode and press the 2nd key in top left)
Once I download the project file, what do I do with it (regarding the Midi Map)? I'm a little confused, because for me the fifth page and down arent what is displayed in the tutorial. I think you need to do a couple things before the right sounds come out, but im not sure what.
You need to map correctly the chain selector on User2 mode

Can't explain it on RUclips, it would be to long but watch tutorials about chain selectors and launchpad (Launchpad-Pro.com) and look at the project and remap the things yourself!
I'm on your bandwagon bro, page 5 onwards isn't right and can't even find the ambient drop. Remapping is for the pros haha. Help us TheWarmUp!

My Bindings for pages dont work. Ive tried rebinding them but it just doesnt work. Im in Ableton Live Lite 9.7 with A LaunchPad MK2

Well, did you read the text file I included? If you tried to rebind them and it didn't work, then that means you didn't rebind them correctly
makes it more impressive that youre playing this on a mk2, because the buttons actually push in
it's not that hard
after the 4. page it was too hard for me xD

Is there an easy way to flip the launchpad so the right hand plays the drums and the left hand plays the melody? I don't have a launchpad but hell it looks hard, and me being left handed seems to make it harder if I wanted to try it out.
There is no way to easily do that sadly.. But even being left handed doesn't mean you couldn't do it. Recently I'm working on some new things and I'm trying to practice my left hand a lot. It works if you work!

Yes you would need to manually replace every sample one by one! Begin with Launchpad-Pro.com . They have awesome tutorials on how to begin Launchpad properly

shrvgs I'm also left handed and trying to do this project but yes it's harder because like 90% of launchpad covers have the left hand with drums and the right hand with the lead

I just always start super slow and speed it up over time. Always watch the notes that you play together with the drum and all the ones you play in between.
Exactly. Couldn't give a better advice. Plus, everyone has his own way of playing an instrument. But yeah that's my technique!
play with the right hand first the main beat and master it so u can do it smooth then add ur left hand

So I'm playing this on an actual Midi Fighter 64, but my issue is I only have access to the last page and the 7th page, so how do I change it so I can use the mappings on all the other pages?
Did you sample marble soda or did you go through the 100+ songs to get the samples?
I did both + remade some parts myself
When you circle the buttons on the right hand side, what does that mean? I didnt see you pressing that, and I'm assuming its used to change the available soundbytes?

Well I'm using Launchpad MK2 and when you buy it there is an Ableton Lite version included. You can start learning electronic music on this version and then when you feel comfortable you can buy the full version
No way to play this on a Launchpad X is there? We can't seem to map the first chain selector to anything since the right buttons are taken and we don't have user 1/2 buttons.

Hei dude, I see that you have also a midi fighter 3D, so I want to ask you... for finger drumming, and not for play song's covers on the launchpad, is better the midi fighter or the launchpad? Because those arcade buttons looks better that the pads of the launchpad, but at the same price of a 3D I can get a launchpad pro... So what do you suggest me? Thank you :)
I'm pretty sure the midi fighter 3d has more buttons. but if you want to finger drum try midi fighter spectra.
Okey for finger drumming go directly for the Midi Fighter 3D. It has 16 buttons + 4 banks top buttons and 6 side buttons that you can assign to whatever you want. 16 for finger drumming is plenty and if you are clever enough you could of course make song covers on it or if you buy two, it's plenty enough

TheWarmUp yeah the midi fighter's buttons looks better than the pads, and a lot of people says that are very easy to click

Hey, on page 5 (6th page button down) my samples are all different, any idea why this is happening? It seems to be either your mashup that you had at the end or a whole different song, thanks in advance!
Well no it can't be our mashup cos it's not in the same project, it is sureley the second part of the song but you're user2 is surely not mapped correctly

Bro I dont have the same binding... Im using a Launchpad S but I thought the project would also work (Im opening the one for S ofc) and the buttons you press in the beggining dont sound the same for me D:!
Fran Lopez songs not made for launchpad S, the song was made on a midi fighter, and someone managed to change to mk2

k i have a problem:
after page 7 when you have to switch to user 2 and back, it takes about 7 or so seconds to switch ba ck from user 2 to user 1.
this has been a prominent problem throughout the entire song, because sometimes the audio is kinda glithcy and laggy, and sometimes when i press the pad it takes a while to respond.
i really wanna learn the pages after page 7 but i cant transition from user 1 to user2 to user1 properly.
does anyone have any solutions?
how do you have the lights and audio playing at the same time?
its been a problem because I put the MIDI section into record and it just has the lights.
then when I put AUDIO into record it just plays the sounds.

There is 3 macros to remap. There is 3 bank. 1 bank containing two banks. The first bank is linked to the user2 buttons and the other two banks are controlled with the right side buttons. You need to remap the banks accordingly
Ableton 9 live Suite is recommended cos it might not be working on other versions

Hey, so I have Ableton Live 9 Suite but when I try to launch the project file, my Ableton crashes. I have a Novation Launchpad MK2 Mini. Is it because my computer isn't strong enough to launch the project file? Or is it because of something else?

Valera Klimin What do you mean by try this file launch again? I've tried both MK2 and S file launches as well as the in-client launch. Neither one seems to work.
What's the spec of your computer? Because the project is quite heavy

The lights on the project work and show up on the launchpad but no sound is coming from the computer when u press them. Any fixes?
Be sure there isn't any media missing, if there is, redownload the project. If it's not the problem, try to remap the chains according to the buttons on your launchpad

Launchpad MK2 or S is good if it's expensive you can buy Launchpad Mini. But don't forget a Launchpad isn't a toy. If it's just for fun you gonna play it for 2 hours and already rage quit and never use it again. You need dedication

TheWarmUp I cant get page 5 to work. the sounds are different for the rest of the pages. The pages 1 through 4 are working but the rest have different samples in it (my guess?)
Remap your Launchpad to the Chain selectors correctly
TheWarmUp The sounds were different from page four to page five, but only about two samples worked and the rest were blank. I'm pretty sure I have mapped the Chain Selector correctly, because I can use pages 1-4 completely fine. I honestly have no idea why this is happening. In case it matters, This is on a Launchpad Mini Mk2.
Any help from the community would also be appreciated as this is one of my favourite songs to play on the launchpad.

same problem, I have a pro. I was disappointed, cuz I had just learned the drop, and page 1-3, but then I couldn't get the same sounds for the rest.

So i got a launchpad pro now and whenever I press a button that has a light attached to it instead of the light it's supposed to flash it changes color. The color changes every time I press the button. This is maybe because this is a MK2 file but idk.

I learned the whole thing but I have a problem. I can only play with one hand at a time. If i start playing drums with my left hand, i get confused and fuck it all up. Any suggestions how i can learn to multitask?
Well you need to learn slowly the right hand first. When you master the right hand. Learn the left hand with tempo then try to detect what and when you should press buttons in the same time slowly, then learn really slowly both, do it again until it is fluent, then you can speed up gradually! That's how I do, then when your used to combine your two hands it becomes very easy to combine them for future projects

+TheWarmUp i cant seem to figure out what you mean in the readme in the project file where it says locate macro selector 1 in the first insturment rack, the there is nothing called that, all there is is chain selector, macro 2, macro 3 and so on, am i looking in the wrong spot?, i will send screenshots if you get back to me
