The idea of wiping the device remotely is very malicious. What will happen if the device is used as an evidence and the police oficers need to extract the data from it in order to prove that the person is guilty?
The idea with passkeys is great, but... IMHO, password managers give more freedom in terms of storing credentials and keeping the valuable data >private< where (from what I understood) passkeys are kept on Google servers. No matter what end-user chooses, both pass managers and passkeys are great as long as there's a >choice< what people want to use. So... passkeys may be the default option, but I hope that an old-fashined passwords will stay too ;)
