Im 15 and i’m planning to move to cathedral city from the imperial valley because San Diego is too expensive to raise a family. Im researching for my class, I’m doing something called My10yearplan. I’ve been getting really into detail with the area. I love the desert and the homes in cathedral. I’m very exited to learn more!! This video was very helpful, thank you!
That depends on budget. Cathedral City, Palm Desert, Desert Hot Springs, Indio and Coachella have a wide range of prices depending on what you are looking for.
There is alot of homes in Cathedral City that are not in developments. And most of the developments are not 55+ neighborhoods. Right now, there is very little inventory on the market. Homes go within days of being listed...
Low cost of living? I remember when it was affordable for working people. Desert home prices are a joke. The market has been completely fucked up by investors. My husband and I will have to retire in Blythe at this point ( realtors will call it palm springs adjacent ) Half a million for a tract home ina place with no industry and only minimum wage jobs.
I appreciate your comments and frustrations regarding rising home prices and the concerns that come with them. The growing demand for housing in the Desert highlights its attractiveness but also raises issues of affordability for many looking to buy in the Desert.
@@PalmSpringsRealEstate well it’s not that attractive unless you’re a retire gay couple, a vacation seeker or an investor. The investors are a problem. Houses are for people to live in. They are there to be snatched up and taken out circulation by people towing to get rich on vacation rentals. I don’t expect realtors to step in because the higher prices mean higher commissions. But what is going to happen as we get fed up is Sacramento is going to step in and start making laws and regulations around lending and buying with primary residence requirements. That’s what I ask for from my stae reps. There’s already a shortage in California. Rent isn’t even affordable for working people when you have four people sharing a two bedroom apartment to survive. If people want to invest in rental Property and vacation property then they need to be building those properties not taking single family homes and condos out of our housing stock. I hope the market crashes From the abuse.
Cathedral City is a great place to live. I hope this video provides insight into the reasons to live in Cathedral City!

@@PalmSpringsRealEstate the 200,000 range ( single family home) only. Would I be able to find something in this range all over these areas?

Are there snakes?
Yes, the Valley has native snakes, but they are rarely in populated areas so as to become a nuisance.
