YAMAHA FZ6 First Ride | From a 125 to 600!

- I know I start off slow, but as the video progresses you'll see me open it up a bit more. What I'm trying to emphasise is that I've come from a 15hp 125cc bike to this machine! Words cannot describe the power difference but you can probably tell by my reaction (even when just going upto 30 or 40mph) how amazing it feels.
Can't wait for all the future videos with this bike, if you've got any ideas for stuff you wanna see, just whack it in the comments below and I'll see if I can get round to it :p

@@DanTheTwoWheeler hahaha, I can imagine it's a memory that'll be kept. Only on a 125 atm, and I know this is exactly how I'll be reacting when I finally get some power under me. It makes me even more excited to get me test past, and the FZ6 will be my first proper bike as well. 😁
I remember 6 months ago i found this video and it inspired to buy myself an FZ6, and it was one of the best decisions i ever made in my life, made my summer one I'll remember for the rest of my life and gave me so many great experiences and memories, idk if you'll be reading this but thank you for showing me this amazing bike, made me realise my love for riding🙏🏾

All the goofy laughs and stuff when you twist the throttle. I love all that stuff man. Can't beat the feeling of going to a new, faster bike.

Liking yr videos mate,really want get a bike licence.But had a lot health problems and worries if I've got the strength to even hold up a 125cc.More I watch yr videos the more I want a bike! You give a lot of good info about yr bikes,keep up the good work buddy👍👍stay safe

outstanding vid. i went from a 125cc scooter to a 2007 fz6 3 years ago and still have the bike. it is a fantastic motorcycle and my first rides on it were joyful, much like this vid shows. looking forward to more vids from you and this bike

This video is quality mate honestly was grinning with you once you got on the bike and experienced that power! I’ve only had 125s but had a ride of a 650 once and this was my exactly reaction too! Can’t wait to pass my test and experience it properly😄

2004 Fz6 came out in the USA I bought mine that year. I had a blast on that thing. Super quiet. But very powerful smooth ride. You are right the power is on the top end. Still my favorite ride of all time.
I remember that exact feeling 30 years ago, coming from a Suzuki gp100 to a Suzuki gsxf600, it was immense. To be honest I still get the same buzz from riding today and I must admit the little Fazer 6 pleasantly surprised me even as I own a zx9r and zzr1100 too.
Mine is completely standard and I bought it for touring on so I'll leave it as it is.

I bought Yamaha fz6n 2008 and this is my first motorcycle ever as learner permit, I love this bike but I'm scared also and full respect to this machine. Lots of learning time I need to put but love it

I spent 10 years riding 125's and just passed my full licence. I bought my fz6 last week. I love my fazer. Ive no regrets at all.

This just came across my feed. Love how stoked you are over the FZ6! I just bought one right before winter hit, got the chance to ride it once before the snow fell. Think I hit 92mph in 2nd gear. Was definitely smiling ear to ear after that. Can't wait to get an exhaust on her and explore around. Bet it's pretty nice not feeling the need to floor it just about everywhere you went on the 125. I've had my FZ6 for three years and I'm still impressed by how much power I can squeeze out of it. I went from a 250 to the FZ6 and I was terrified riding it home from the dealership.
The only time I want something different is when I'm on a long ride. It's not very comfortable after a hundred miles.

I had the same reaction when recently upgrading from a 150 to a FZ6s2 hahaha! I was grinning the whole ride listening to that eargasmic remus exhaust and the sheer power!

Nice new bike and well done, picking up my new ninja 300 this week, just did my A2 last week (after months of riding a cbf125 on a cbt), can't wait. Your insurance must be crazy too with a 600cc and aftermarket exhaust, I was tempted to get a restricted mt07, or a slip on for ninja but it will cost too much extra
I remember the first time I went from riding my little 125 to my Fazer 600! It was so exciting!!! This video has brought back some very happy memories!

On a 125,,got my theory in 2 weeks,then get cracking with my mod1 and mod2,,have just been on 2 of these,,my local bike shop dealer said there great bikes to learn off,,this is a deffo contender some time very soon,stay safe riding👍

I love the look of the fz6. I went from a 125 to a zx6r, didn’t like the zx6r so bought a Bandit 600.
I think the Bandit is great but fz6 ticks all the boxes for me.

Gotta love going from a 125 to 600. I went from a ybr 125 to a cbr 600. Now I have a fz6, I love it so much comfier to ride than the cbr.

A tip on the mirrors as they are the same as the sfv650, loosen the nut attached to the handlebars and rotate the entire mirror so the head has some play to it.
Then get some handlebar ones 👍

I love my Fz6. It's a great all around bike. It's fun and practical. The only bike I've had that I might like more is the Honda 919 Hornet. Fun watching you enjoy your first ride.

I went from a 125 to a Yamaha MT03 (660 single). I have fond memories of when I passed my A2 being like "This has infinite power". 125's really are a class of their own.

Ha ha nailed exactly how it feels at the start when riding a big bike. I watched this before I got mine, I love the riding position not at high speed speed with no screen though, you gotta hold on tight lol.

I went from a 125cc to a restricted 600cc Fazer from 2003 and I love it.
I've got one and they are all good bruv. with a few mods you will find it will keep up with the R6 of the same year. A great choice of machine I've had mine 5 years now and I'm still happy
+Ray Tokens Yeah around town or even upto 70/80mph I reckon its the same speed as an R6
DanTheTwoWheeler I've done quite a bit to mine and it does keep up with them. mine will sit at 160 all day long it's running at 110 bhp with 52 lbs/ ft torque. I've got a pcv and a remap done by dynojet an open sp engineering slip-on cans the same as you have, a modified Airfilter box with k&n Airfilter. my fz6 is the s2 version there are a few changes to the model you have but it's one he'll of a fun bike even after 5 years it still scares me lol. oh yeah a quatrefoil turn throttle makes a he'll of a difference in the power delivery. Have fun on it bruv. I have done a lot more than I've listed to keep it exciting but the misses moaning at me kept me from spending more on it.

Seeing as you live in manchester, its probably worth taking that bike to the three sisters track near wigan. me and my mate are on a2 atm, went there for their charity rideouts and you find out so much more about your bike; only negative is you'll be hooked.

@@sickyrides its so a2 licence holder can ride the bike its just restricter kit meant put it to 48bhp am sure un restricted like 77bhp
Can't find this anywhere on the internet but is your DAS a "guaranteed" pass like the CBT where if you fail go retake it free of charge or do you need to fork out all that money again?
kasai pk you won’t have to pay the full DAS fees, but you will need to pay and book another test fee. Some schools will allow a free retake using their bike but the test fee at the centre still has to be paid. Other schools you’ll have to pay for the hire of the bike again as well as the test fee. As a minimum, test fee only. Maximum test fee + hire of bike from school
I felt the same way about trying my FZ6N for the first time, two weeks later just got my motorcycle license (A), cant wait for it to stop raining to really do more than 500m on this bike!

Went from a Honda Varadero 125 to a 2005 Fazer FZ6 600. I giggled like a school girl going down a dual carriageway. Took it to a ton and bloody hell. I love the sensation.
