Nearly perfectly balanced team. Few outstanding weaknesses, good balance between offense and defense, can prevent you from using items as well which is just a punch to the dick. Overall she just has a fantastic team

My battles are never hardcore competitive. The goal is to create interesting battles with some competitive and strategic influence. If you would try hard to play perfectly competitive the battles would be boring since the teams are extremely uneven. Therefore, it can always happen that some moves are not perfectly in terms of strategic thinking. Nevertheless, I hope you like the battles :)
So we're not talking about garchomp having poison jab would murder gardevoir unless the Gardevoir is like speed Ev and the garchomp isint it's not gonna outspeed a garchomp with 102 base speed where mega gard is only 100 base speed

Question though: why does Garchomp have a poison attack? I assume you went with her pearl team, in which her garchomp doesnt know a poison move? I mean, wouldnt it make more sense to keep the original moves of all the pokemon? I think there might be a diffrent outcome that way Lovely idea though anyways :)
This is a question I thought a lot about. In the end I decided to go for more competitive sets to have some suprising outcomes as in the case of Gardevoir and Garchomp. But you are right it would turn out very different with the sets from the games. Happy that you like it the way those battles are :)

Honestly the fact that the player using Diantha's team got this far amazes me. However, her putting up a good fight against the strongest champion is quite impressive... seeing as you can steam roll Diantha in Kalos.... This was never a debate, Cynthia has always been the strongest even without this, but still impressive. This just goes to show how powerful Cynthia's team was, especially in Gen 4. I wish they would bring another powerful champion to the table. Battling Cynthia really is a treat, but gets stale after you have beaten her a few times, like every other champion.

I'm sorry to admit it, but Diantha fights like a girly-girl. Cynthia may be feminine, but her potential outclasses any female champion. Cynthia's outfit looks like a Garchomp costume.
You are right, I often tried to do it but I am still just able to change all things that are possible ingame. Therefore, I decided to go with some “standard“ characters. But I am trying to change that in the future!
Poison Jab was a great move to defeat Mega Gardevoir, but Iron Head and Iron Tail would have been better alternatives, as they have a chance of making opponents flinch and lower defense respectively. Nevertheless, it was a great battle and I really enjoyed it. Keep up the great work.
Iron head is the exact same attack power as poison jab and even though Iron tail is more powerful by 20 points it has 25% less accuracy. Sometimes its not good to risk it.
You guys do realise that poison jab/iron head is completely unnecessary on garchomp right? STAB Earthquake is only 10 BP less and eq on mega gardevoir is already a guaranteed OHKO if life orb/adamant. Instead running stone edge/fire blast provides better coverage competitively to hit flying and steel types.
Of course, Fire Blast is often a great option on Garchomp, but please be aware of the fact that the movesets are at least semi competitive. Those battles are more about fun than perfect competitive battling :)
Er...the Poison Jab actually made a difference. As shown, the Garchomp was NOT Adamant, since it outsped mega-Gardevior (who has a tiny 2 point difference) AND it was not carrying a offense boosting item. Also...Fire Blast on a physical attacker with low Special Attack? Are you high and mistook that for Fire Fang or just stupid?
All the comments about each other's misplays, when I'm here just imagining they're both the respectable cpu's in the game lol. Cynthia's team has a clear advantage though; the only pokemon that is a threat to most of her team is a choice scarfed Aurorus. She's also my favorite so yay :3. Great video.
Yes, Mega-Gardevoir has also Pixelate but I think Ysmael means when Aurorus attacks Garchomp. But it is the same here, it has the ability "Refrigiate" which makes all normal-type moves to ice-type moves :) Therefore, Hyper Voice was an ice-type attack
What gave Cynthia the win is her Garchomp being faster than Diantha's Gardevoir and having Poison Jab which counters fairies. Cynthia had this tournament all locked down and everyone on this video knew it.

lucario got wasted too early otherwise the battle would have gone like this for sure..afterall dianthas half of the team falls between lucario..give him ice punch and he can take care of gourgeist hawlucha and goodra too(although with difficulty) only hawlucha was the real threat here to lucario.
You are right! Lucario could have done real work against her team. There are always so many options how the movesets can look like. I decide for the teams at the beginning of each tournament so that no one has an unfair disadvantage. Just to tell you how I decide something like that. Hope you liked the battle!
Lmao did you even watch the battle? Lucario DID have Ice Punch and straight up lost to Gourgeist which used status. Lucario is extremely overrated to a hilarious extent by its fans to the point where, as shown, they're mentally incapable of even seeing it get beaten even when it's shown to their faces.
in this specific battle between the two. diantha would of won over cynthia. there is a clear type advantage in dianthas favor. Only way cynthia won was because of poor battle skills of who ever was controlling dianthas team. In terms of movesets, typing, and power. Diantha would of won.
Hey Luke, those battles aren't about perfect competitive battling. The goal is to create interesting battles with a light competitive touch which everyone can watch who likes Pokémon. But thank you for your critique, I will try even harder to make good decisions with both competitors ;)

No, sorry! I train so many Pokémon I can't remember all of the spreads. But I mostly use simple spreads with full investment on 2 stats

Lucario is extremely overrated to a hilarious extent by its fans to the point where, as shown, they're mentally incapable of even seeing it get beaten even when it's shown to their faces.

in this specific battle between the two. diantha would of won over cynthia. there is a clear type advantage in dianthas favor. Only way cynthia won was because of poor battle skills of who ever was controlling dianthas team. In terms of movesets, typing, and power. Diantha would of won.
Hey Luke, those battles aren't about perfect competitive battling. The goal is to create interesting battles with a light competitive touch which everyone can watch who likes Pokémon. But thank you for your critique, I will try even harder to make good decisions with both competitors ;)
