Peckforton Light Railway - Semaphore signal controller - Part 2

- The latest version of the semaphore signal controller using key-fob radio control. All the electronics (receiver, microprocessor, servo and li-ion battery), are now contained in a 3D printed sub-base, so that each signal will be completely self-contained. This makes deployment so much simpler. Peckforton Light Railway is my hypothesis of a three-foot narrow gauge railway which might have run in rural Cheshire (UK) to serve the copper mines and communities alongside the Peckforton Hills. It is a 45mm gauge, 15mm scale garden railway. For more information, see riksrailway.blo... - Music "Starry" by Kevin McLeod (incompetech.com ). Licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0
Excellent! I can't wait to see these 'active' in the next episode, they'll look great.
Great work
Fabulous 👍
❤
If you get to briefly stop when going into the clear position, this would represent the signalman pausing when pulling the lever to get more grip. The bounce only really happens when the signal is returned to normal, as the signalman is taking the lever out of the lock and then letting it move of its own accord.
Otherwise you're doing a really nice job, just wondering where you got the signals from?
@@SteamLance Thanks Lance. I've still got work to do, replicating the bounce. I scratchbuilt the signals ten years ago - riksrailway.blogspot.com/2014/01/how-i-constructed-19-semaphore-signals.html?m=1
I somehow don't think I'll use this as my reference point 😊 - ruclips.net/user/shortsYg_MVsoZhr4?si=XZBiD7E5kN_H5-rN

Fancy building a set of 4 for the FeckHallBahn? Asking for a friend…
@@FeckHallBahn Hi Nigel. The materials would be about £30 per signal - and labour around £300 (probably an underestimate) 😮😁

Ah!! Maybe I should stick with Plan A - mechanical linkages and springs!!!
