Video from 2013 showing some calligraphy techniques. More at: / artoftheosone www.theosone.com / theosone www.be.net/theo... Thank You for watching! Theos
I was literally just on /r/calligraphy thinking 'i really wish more of the big guys would post videos or images of alphabets... and then ran across this video on facebook... great timing.
I normall don't write any kind of comments on RUclips, but being a hobbycalligrapher since 23 years now, I really have to say that I admire your work and I really find it inspirational, keep 'em coming! Very well Sir!
I love this hand, and he is a master. Thank you for the second part with the parallel pen and diluted ink - you can really differentiate the strokes! Plus, awesome soundtrack - sounds like Vessels?
Man! This is great stuff, like in every video you upload. You must have worked tough to get that fine and detailed results. Actually, watching your work made me buy a parallel pen and a Tombow marker to get into calligraphy and use it to enhance my designs, so thx for sharing your work. Btw, would you please share any tip, book suggestion or inspiration to approach your style? I really dig it. Cheers!
Into these back of the letter cursive serifs that do not connect completely. Looks especially good with rounded Gothic forms. Nice personal touch. I think that's why it initially got my attention. Keep rockin.
Could you re release this video NOT in high speed? If anything id like to see it in SLOW motion. I commented on your other video a few moments ago asking what type of lettering this is and if you had any resources to help me with this style and then i found this after i subscribed. So disregard the last message, but now that i found it in having trouble keeping up and seeing what you're doing and how you're forming the strokes. Could you do the video in regular speed or slow motion so I can follow along? Thanks!
Jon Wagner I agree about the video speed, I found myself downloading these videos from RUclips, with a Firefox app, then playing this video in windows media player, as you can control the speed, I like to watch this one in 20% speed. It helps out significantly to be able to watch the strokes super slow. I’d learned sooo much it’s incredible, so I do this with all the calligraphy videos now, as they like to put these things in super fast speed. For me it’s all about being able to study how the strokes are done and painted.
If you find the brush strokes are a bit spotty or have bad edges try replacing it with a newer watercolour brush. You might have worn down the hairs too much so you have to redo the edges of the stroke several times to clean it up when you really shouldn't have to.
A nie myślałeś nad tym aby wrzucać swoje prace zawierające alfabet jako pliki do pobrania. Bo z tego co obserwuje na polskim rynku coraz więcej osób interesuje sie taką kaligrafią.

blackletter is king!
Amazing work. Is the first section using a mix of ink and acrylic?
I am fascinated by calligraphy being a calligrapher myself, its a love story...
Beautiful! Are these capitals traditional letter designs or your own creation after traditional black lettering?
Awesome
I remember Theosone

This was awesome, but what was the first brush and paint stuff that you were using?
beautiful! can somebody tell me which kind of paper is he using? ty
Hi friend I love your style, you have a course where you can learn what you do?
Big Theosone!!! but I prefer the video in normal speed. At the end of video, you write out of field of view.
Thank you for video.
what is the exact weight of the letter on the paper? I didn't able to understand the proportions of the pencils lines. Does anyone help me?
Hi Theosone, what kind or brand of brush you recommend for writing blackletter?
And that is how calligraphy is properly done...
does anyone know what ink i can use to write on black paper with the pilot parallel?
You should really concider tattoo work! id so take some designs from you to put on my body!
Sometimes it's a pain to watch, because of my jealousy! Keep on!
I willing to learn this but thing is I'm left-handed and I wonder if it's gonna work.
It should but you would need a tutorial for left handers and the perfect strokes.
Can You tell what paper you use? Often ink penetrates the paper fibers which creates jagged edges. Pozdrawiam.
If you're using the pilot parallel pens, cleaning your nib often on the papers with more tooth helps to keep the edges clean.
Yes, i'm using pilot parallel, but cleaning nib not helps, its seems to be paper fault.
what song? tell me pls

track name please?
Dig your writing style brother.
Man.
this is why i hate being a lefty
lefty's have their own advantages too, like roundhand stuff and brush lettering
decay true, but across the board its a disadvantage
