This videos are so helpful for me. As a person with disabilities, seeing the area I’m travelling to before I go is so beneficial for my confidence. Thank you for documenting these videos.
I totally agree. It is indeed refreshing to see the countryside as opposed to big modern cities. I usually prefer to travel to cities with beautiful nature or historical significance.
Love your videos! They are really authentic & helpful, unlike the other ones that only show the superficial side. Would definitely reference alot of my trips to your video! Thankyou for doing this!
A wonderful walking tour! You easily handled the busy pedestrian traffic while filming - and I enjoyed every minute. Kyoto is now on my bucket list. The view @24:13 blew me away🙂
Higashiyama district is one of the busiest districts in Kyoto. At first, I thought I would not be able to film my entire walk there, but I am glad I managed to do it. It took some effort to do it, though. I am glad you enjoyed the video. Lots more coming soon!
Thanks for showing the Temple. I don't think I'll ever travel to Japan.. and if I did, I would probably do more urban type tourist things... so this was nice to see from a 1st person perspective. Kyoto seems pretty crowded like you said.. but manageable (I have social anxiety)
This area is a little bit far from Kyoto station. I recommend you stay close to Kyoto station area to be able to easily use the public transportation to explore Kyoto and the surrounding areas. ruclips.net/video/5ZeZ__NqvCM/видео.html
@@WandererBellhow far from kyoto station by transport? How far apart are Higashiyama and Gion? Which one is better for dinner with teenagers? Is Pontocho near by?
May I know how long it takes to explore Higashiyama (including Kiyomizudera) and Gion District?? Is it possible to do all of that in the afternoon until late night?
You can watch the other video I filmed at Kiyomizudera Temple here: ruclips.net/video/9-0ndiFkUL8/видео.html

Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. I am so happy that you found this video helpful.
Beautiful tour. Felt like, I was literally there. So refreshing to see the beautful Japan country side instead of typical big sky scrapers or suburbs.

What time were you in Higashiyama district particularly Yasaka Pagoda and shrine? What season?
Kyoto is a nice historic place & higashiyama has a wonderful hotel and many temples

Thank you as always for watching and leaving a comment. I also have social anxiety but filming and talking to a camera somehow cures it.
What day of the week and time of day did you visit Yasaka Pagoda?
That was Tuesday afternoon.
Would like to do knoe too. Could you separate over 2 afternoon Evenings?
Traveling to japan I. September. Having a hard time where to stay in kyoto. Any ryokan here in this area do you recommend

@@WandererBell is gion close to station?
Gion and Higashiyama are close to each other. Both have good access to the bus service but are far from Kyoto Train Station.

Beautiful streets. How lively is this area in the evening?
Most shops close in the evening.
@WandererBell thanks much. That's what I heard as well. They are open on the other side of the river right?

It might be possible to visit them in one day if you start early in the morning. It will be a long busy day, though.
