  • The phrase "Et in Arcadia ego" first appeared in a painting by Nicolas Poussin (1594-1665) of 1637-38 and means "And I in Arcadia".
Arcadia is one of the most beautiful mountain regions of Greece which from ancient times to the present day has enchanted with its beauty all who visit it and has been a point of reference for famous people of letters and arts for centuries. The video shows the regions of Dimitsana and Ellati as well as the gorge of the Lousios river in Arcadia. According to tradition, Lousios got its name because the nymphs Neda, Agno and Theisoa bathed the newborn Zeus in its waters.
