The Sabaton history video of this song provides more information of just how screwed up this event truly was. It’s not only horrifying to know the events of this “uprising” but to realize how badly the rest of the world screwed Poland Also, I’m going to keep suggesting “The First Soldier” animated story video
@@melkor3496 and the fact that the Russian army was only 20 miles away from Warsaw at the time, just waiting for it to be over. Poland got absolutely screwed

Thank you for your great reaction to Uprising - Sabaton song about Warsaw Uprising 1944, Poland 🙂 Sabaton with two Polish theme war history songs: 40:1 (2008) and Uprising (2010) completly stole Polish people's hearts, not only heavy metal fans'. I love these songs performed at the concert Woodstock 2012, Poland. Worth seing and reacting to them! In this song we can see well-known actors: Peter Stormare, born in Sweden , famous from American movies, Polish young actors: Monika Buchowiec and Mateusz Damięcki and Waldemar Skrzypczak, Polish army present general, who today comments Russian-Ukrainian war every week. You see him in the song at: 4:21, 4:24, 5:43, 5:45, 5:48, wearing a black beret and a white shirt. At 4:25 the clock shows 5.00pm. That's the time the Uprising started. Today in Warsaw and other places all over the country you can hear the sirens. People and cars stop to commemorate our defenders, mostly young people, scout boys and girls. A very close to all Poles is the song: Inmate 4859 about Witold Pilecki, the Polish resistence hero.
Probably one of the most interesting things about the Warsaw Uprising is, that there were bombers from the polish exile army, which served with the british and americans in Italy dring the uprising and flew, knowing full well that the fuel would only last for the journey to Warsaw, to the aid of the Polish resistance. What chads.
This video is very special. The actors in this clip are Polish and the general giving orders is an actual general. There are small motives that are easy to overlook and only noticeable to Polish people. Like the poster in the first minute of the clip... it says "100 Poles for 1 German..." this was the punishment germans announced. There is a lot more to say about this video...
One of the songs that made me think the most, how human beings can be determined, courageous. But also cruel. Throughout the war, Poland received almost no aid. It is often ignored that England and France have not done much to help Poland. certain politicians were convinced that Germany would stop with the conquest of Polish territories.
Please i beg you, react to ''sabaton history'' along side the song or in separate video, but please you really need it. specially with this song to truly understand the atrocities committed by Germans and the true heroism of the Poles.
Here are some other great Sabaton songs: Devil dogs, Stormtroopers, Shiroyama, bite and resist, Carolus Rex, 82nd all the way and En Livstig i krieg ( Watch the live show with subtitles on with this song)
as usual a great reaction. yeah, they tell the story we didn't even know we wanted to hear, another thing is that they do it in a way that certainly makes us interested to understand and know more. I am not Polish but during the song I am very patriotic for Poland. oh, akso, you see the wrong title in the thumbnail
Poland pretty much got screwed by both the Germans and the Allies in WW2, staring with the British and French betrayal in 1939 through the German/Soviet invasions that partitioned the country, to the Warsaw uprising through Roosevelt's evil agreement with Stalin in Yalta that doomed the Poles to decades of Soviet oppression. There may be more desperate and tragic stories of heroism and sacrifice in Poland than any other country during the war. I highly recommend "Aces in Exile" the story of the Polish, Czech, and other fliers from occupied, Commonwealth, or neutral countries during the Battle of Britian.
Another good sabaton song are *"The Final Solution"* I can really recomend that one, just make sure you pick the Official lyric version. Painfull to watch, but necessary. Great reaction.
My great-grandfather came from Warsaw in th late 1800's when Poland wasn't on any map, to paint a church mural on the ceiling of a Catholic church. I'm an 11C army Cavalry vet. Polska Hussaria.
Loved this song when I listened to it for the first time. I had goosebumps listening to Joakim shouting, "Warszawa Wałcz!" I do have a suggestion for a future video, actually a couple. Could react to Ghost Division, or, Carolus Rex? I would especially love to see you react to Ghost Division. I always imagine myself, while listening to Ghost Division, in a tank, speeding and blasting through an enemy's defenses.
During and after Uprising Nazi killed 95% people who lived in Warsaw earlier. Many of them been killen for example in Wola. My uncle been send to Aushwitz with his family. Luckily my family survived and will be liberated in Bergen Belsen in Germany.
Should have seen the live version in woodstock with a huge huge amount of people going crazy(in a good way) also personally think live version was better.

Their live version of this, at Woodstock, in Poland, is nuts! Also the song "40:1" who is about polish resistance.
I love the live version, It's a bit more upbeat just like most their live stuff - and it's just a bomb.
(Also gotta love Peter Stormare, hah)

@@AmericansLearn Do you think you can react to the Sabaton history video for this song?

The German general in this video is played by Peter Stormare, a famous Swedish actor who has been in several movies. One is as Lucifer in Constantine.
He was also the hack doctor in Minority Report and the Psychiatrist in the game Until Dawn.
And in Big Lebowski, Armageddon and Jurassic Park 2
@@meteerbil2078 as i mentioned, he has been in a ton of movies.
Well that's fun! The Keanu version?

This is the first song I heard from Sabaton, been hooked ever since. But, I think an appropriate follow up would be Inmate 4859.
No greater and more tragic moment in European history than the uprising.
