I always felt that he just kind of fell off the face of the earth after Ridin' Solo but then trumpets came out and I found myself at 3AM listening to songs of his that I had never heard of before with less than 100,000 views like Givin' Up and Pick Up The Pieces. It's songs like that that keep you searching his name for new hits that you just cant find. It's almost sad in a way because he's hitting notes that the best female singers cant hit and he has some deep meaning in these songs but they're never on the radio. You may think he's past his prime but I would encourage you to dig deep in the dark depths of youtube for some of his better work before saying he sucks. If you truly think he sucks after that then that's fine, you're entitled to your opinion. I was just pointing you in the direction of some good songs that you may have never heard otherwise.

Trumpets isn't terrible, but I don't find it to be a genuine attempt to be sincere. When he first came out with Whatcha Say, I thought it was OK, but nothing special. Then In My Head came out and I was immediately sold. It was an explosive, guitar-driven second single that managed to be livelier and more fun than its predecessor.
