A tip I should have added, but it didn't really dawn on me: Put Explorer on your sage and your support characters. On the Mystery Room path with atleast 3 units on the field you will get a mystery room the majority of the time. This has several benefits: 1. You will be able to clone items more easily, which will lead to your group being more easily equipped 2. Clearing Mystery rooms increases kill bonus and assembly bonus 3. You get the benefits of mystery rooms, such as the cheat rooms Another tip for item world: HP bills are more important than anything else. Nothing else matters because it will all cap out as you're doing your kill bonus. The exception, of course, is HP.
Good stuff! The (hopefully long before late postgame) tip I'll add: Move the Dark Assembly to be next to the dimensional gatekeeper and friends! The long walk back to its default spot sucks, skip it! And You can get some pretty neat effects from heaping tons of old junk into curry, too. But, there are a handful of items with bad effects. And and, any name changes you apply to a curry ingredient also applies to the curry name. It's pure flavor, but, have some fun! Old Boot Curry, Burrito Style, Secret Ingredient: Horse Weiner can be yours! And and and, you can honestly skip gear pretty much altogether if you don't care about starring up Carnage Baal. The 40K from base stats, shards, and modifiers is enough for most endgame content. And and and and Zeroken is a great choice to fill out a roster due to his Overload. Load him up with passive team buff evilities that stack, like Cursed Dance and Lovely/Idol Song. Those get duped onto his clones, too. If memory serves, he can add up to +20% stats on everyone, and +12% damage on anyone, just between those three evilities. He's a good support monkey.
I've been putting the stat debuffs on my archers, so now whenever I field them it's a death sentence. I've been always curious as to how baal bits would interact with Zeroken's clones killing them though.
Big brain fix to Sage class’ only weakness is that her land decimator skill uses loads of SP. get the corpse cannibal evility. Each enemy gives you back some SP. for the Asagi map you will get mass stonks back
Hey! No problem. I stumbled across your videos and they put a lot into perspective. It's impressive what you can do with just a few units with what many would probably consider "too low" of stats, and it helped put me into the mentality of just grinding out however I liked :)
I'm doing better. I've had a couple of issues such as my monitor breaking right as I made a big purchase (ironically a new mic for videos). I detailed a few of them in my community post but I don't want to sound like I'm making excuses for myself. It hasn't been great luck in terms of what's going on, but mentally I'm in a very good place.
I actually already knew the prinny hat and prinny instructor angle But I totally did not expect tower stuff to still be useful late game I only used it to grind during the story before I got better grinding maps
It's perfectly fine not to know anything going into a Disgaea game. You can beat the story with what they tell you, and these tips are aimed at people who are facing the post game content. There's a lot of information available for post game content and it can become kind of overwhelming for some people, so this is just a compilation of tips/advice for people who are already at that point and might be overlooking a few things.
Completely late to the party here, and hope that you’ve enjoyed whichever game you might have picked up, but this stuff is almost assuredly optional if you only care about 0 star main story. I would argue you can probably even get away with not knowing this for 2 or 3 stars even. But, if you thirst for the power of a demon… definitely keep this stuff in mind.
I more or less gave my thoughts on Disgaea 6 at the end of my Disgaea 5 review. It's a joke bit, but I don't really think I'll have much positive to say about the game.
@@Mint_Condition its ps4, ps5, PC, release is next month. Give it a chance! I've played every disgaea & I would love/admire your real thoughts on it! (Ima have to go watch ur vid on it rn then lol)
I think most of the fanbase isn’t very big on 6. It kinda just feels like 5 again, but with even less content. The bigger numbers and extra difficulty modes are enticing, but that’s all it really has going for it. My biggest gripe with 6 is that the starting stats of the game did NOT have to be so grossly inflated. The stupidly big post game numbers being handed to you for free at game start to me, felt like it made everything feel way more pointless. Levels don’t matter at all in the early game, where they normally matter the most in any other entry. You could jump straight to difficulty 20 on the first map with almost 0 consequences. The game is entirely built around its new auto battle mechanics… it feels like it’s supposed to be a mobile game. Which… if it was, I’d totally play it, but it’s a mainline entry on console of all things. I’d love it if 7 turns out more like 5, but with the more positive changes of 6. I’m one of the few I feel, who would actually love it if 5 had the insane stat caps of 6, and stuff like rakshasa mode. I’m a grind junkie though, so of course that’s my thing. All in all, 6 will remain shelved until I can accomplish my goal of 100% 20 star clearing all the entries I’m focused on now. Not knocking you for liking it, I’ve heard the post game is really fun, but to me that’s like saying everyone loves vanilla ice cream. It’s kind of the series standard for the post game to be the best part of the gameplay.
Really, you don’t even need max stats for most things in these games. Usually once you hit the 40 mil+ mark, there are all kinds of strategies you can use to break through even the toughest challenges. Most of the time, I just do whatever seems fun in these games. Disgaea gets pretty sandbox-like once you can break the level 300 mark.
Was looking around yt for tips and tricks for disgaea 3 and found ur channel through ur disgaea 2 vid which was a gem and here I am now after watching that and the disgaea 4 vid 🥸

or just make curry that auto restores everything
Just stumbled across this vid. Thank you for the shout out dood.

@@Mint_Condition Glad I could be of service.
I thought I had a good grasp on the mechanics until I watched this video, thanks!
That pirate custom color kept getting to me. I never even considered doing that.
God these videos are still good. Hope you are doing good dood

I can't just leave characters I like on the bench.
I know this is an old video but Is it OK to not know some things you're 1st time around Or is it essential for A disgea game

I played the game on release. I bought the Japanese version. Maybe I didn't give it a fair shake but it just doesn't feel like a Disgaea game to me.
