It can sometimes change the whole mood and flow of the song. it can make a fast pace action song, serene and more relaxed. ive found myself throwing some mp3s in an editor and slowing them down just to chill, but nothing beats the OG music, without them. you have neither night core or anti nightcore. pay respect to both : )

So if you wanna make a song edgy without doing metal then you have to at least lower pitch, pace and tone speed enough to get people interested.

I'm imagining this was lowered three units (I do not music so I simply will call it units, the universal word for any sort of numeric value) to make it, at a speed .8x it's regular speed. As at 1.25x it sounds almost correct, but still slightly faster. I won't dislike the video for such a simple edit, but you could've done more. For example: speeding the song up but keeping the pitch lowered instead of just slowing the song down (which in turn would give the pitch lowering on most audio-editing software... audacity is my favorite.)
