    I have some very High dead tree limbs to cut down so I came up with a remote control chainsaw to do the job. Not all things work out as expected but it was a fun project and I was able to cut down some high limbs.

    Ok so two things ....they call those dead unpredictable branches "widow makers" for a reason
    WHERE are your safety helmets?

    This video is sorely missing a trebuchet or three. This is gibting me so many good ideas. Do you think it would be easy to obscure on a couch? Loke under a blanket or cushion or something? I bet it would be really handy for lots of household chores.

      Haha. I also feel like I’ve unlocked all sorts of useless “life hacks” with this

    could have run the throw line with the drone instead of pulling a steel weight at your face lol

    You need one of these giant wood-worker sling-shots to get the rope over the branch. They are not only super practical but also a very fun toy :)

      You are absolutely correct Tommy.

    Good idea. This even has commercial possibilities.
    Far, far safer than climbing the trees with a chainsaw. And far better than cutting the whole tree down just for a branch or two.
    Hint: In order to throw your weight much higher, you need to use 20 metres of light, strong cord, even string. They only weight the string has to carry, is the rope, till the rope is over the branch and back down to you. Even a bow and arrow on a string.
    Also, if the saw it too weighty to pull up, you could replace the rope with cable, and attached it to a simple electric winch, that spiked and chained to tree trunk.

    how's the aspen panelling holding up in the sauna? would you recommend using it?

    • @JonathanKuhn
      @JonathanKuhn  4 месяца назад

      It’s holding up super well. I still love the neutral smell. It does show dirt on the benches where I didn’t seal the wood well. There are some water stains on the wall but that happens on all untreated wood I find. I think a theme Aspen would be harder wearing if you can find it. Thermory has some cool stuff I wish I knew about before my build.

      @@JonathanKuhn thanks so much for the info, I've ordered some aspen panelling from Murray lumber already, but I might do the benches in cedar and maybe I'll treat the walls to get ahead of the possible water stains. thanks for the thermory tip!
