As a former native Texan, I love love love long, single-story ranch-style brick homes. I love seeing them translated in the game. It’s weird how, like, you take something so simple, yet comforting, for granted when you enter build/buy usually.
You don’t sound crazy for that being your dream home either, that’s my dream too.
I love one story houses both in the game and not. It's too much to be running up and down the stairs for 8 sims lol but also, we have a lot of one story houses in my town and I also love the mid-century style homes too. So I like them in the game. I have never seen the houses look so real tho. Now I have a new goal😅

We all must have cities built around the same time. I live in mid Michigan (about 2 hours north of Detroit since that is all anyone knows lol). A lot of the houses were built between the 1920s and 1970s and they are all either somewhat boxy two story houses or the ranch style. I’ve lived in 5 different houses throughout my life and this is the first I’ve ever lived in that was 2 stories. I always thought I wanted two stories so I looked for that when I bought a house for the first time. NGL. I regret that. Lol.

The save file is so beautiful and their build style is to die for. It’s so effortless and effective. Just looking at the detail in the homes gives so much history and context to the families
So I've been looking for a Life is Strange vibe world late 90's early 2000's vibe save file because I'm doing a really deep storyline for that time so all my sims have that nostalgic look to them and some of the y2k looks as well. This save file is perfect for the vibe I'm going for so I'm excited! I am waiting for Copperdale to be finished though because I know Windbrook will slay Copperdale so hard as well as that's the world my sims will mainly take place but omg this save file is so good and I'm excited to use it

I typically dislike snow because we get so much of it in Indiana, but this video is so beautiful and cozy I find myself actually wanting a day or two of snow.

Ugh Indiana... I remember one year when I was in high school; it was like -30 and I had like 2 weeks of snow days.

I'm from the Philippines -- it doesn't snow here, it's so hot at times, yet I complain when the air conditioner is too cold 😫 idk how I could survive in snow, but it looks gorgeous!

the newcrest world is amazing! the single story houses and the downtown area look just like my small town here in alabama
The ranch houses made me so happy, I too love ranch homes. I also grew in a two story house. I prefer everything on one floor with the exception of a basement. Ranch homes look so cozy! This save file is the MOST realistic I’ve seen. 💙🌊

Yey, safe file that's not filled with clutter! I am currently starting my save file (accidently lost last one) and it's so hard to find good builds where houses are airy and not too cluttered.
I really need to get my hands on this save file. It looks AMAZING! ❤
Life is strange core is my absolute favourite. I'm definately using this in my new storyline, it fits perfectly! Have to say your skills are immaculate, thank you for blessing us with such an amazing save file
Whenever I watch one of these save file overview videos, at first I feel a little discouraged. I feel like these are SO much better and have way more character than any of my builds, and that my progress on my save is basically nothing. And that even when it is done, it will be terrible compared to this and other saves. But after that initial wave of frustration, I feel SO much inspiration to continue to improve my builds, and my save as a result. And I get very excited to incorporate the inspiration for these builds into later worlds in my save.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, thank you for making these videos! (And thank you to the save creators.) After the beginning frustration, I always end up finishing one of these videos very encouraged and inspired. And I just appreciate all of your videos in general, they’re great!🤍
I totally understand! But I’m so proud on you for not giving up! It’s great to have a little inspiration and look at it that’s at instead ☺️ Building a save file is a daunting task, what you’re doing is hard work! With that said - you’re doing great! 💙

I haven't had a chance to hop into the save myself as I don't have a lot of the packs but thanks for the lovely overview. Windbrook has such a unique build style and even in it's simplicity it makes the all the worlds feel so alive! This was so much fun to work on.
Love, love, love the realism here especially with the one story starter homes. I'm not necessarily a sucker for ranch style but I love that the ones you showed remind me of ones I've lived in or recognize from childhood.
Also wanted to say the first ranch style home you showed, looks a lot like my childhood home I grew up in from the outside lol so I felt the nostalgia with that one! A lot of ranch style homes back then on the main floor there is only one bathroom or a jack and jill bathroom so the attention to detail is so cool!! My house had a basement but the outside just reminded me of my childhood home so much!! I'm definetley going to use that home when I play in the save

Yes, you need simrealist bank mod IF you want to utilize it that way. It’s actually set up with everything needed to play with that mod. If you don’t want it - it’s okay , you can just use your imagination it’s just there for realism ;)
I love this so much! I normally stick with my two favorite save files but I need to get this asap. I love ranch style houses as well, the stairs are just too much all the time lol. I love the family you made I’ll be playing with them for sure 🤍

I haven't been able to download the save file. If there is a link, I can't find it. Windbrook (1.0) files were on dropbox, so that was easy, but the download for 2.0 is a mystery to me.
I played with your family in the save file and the husband and wife just kept getting into it. None of their conversations ever were positive. 😮 i’m not sure if that was a glitch.
Is it still for sure based off of Michigan? I thought I read one of the creator's post saying they were making it California based for 2.0 so Im not sure if I missed an update to that or something.
That said, it does feel very Michigan/Midwest to me (and I love it)

Click Load Game in the main screen
Click Windbrook 2.0 save
Click options and save as , save it as a new game , rename it , so you always have the original untouched

Yes! The cars and extra details will appear as such. I don’t have the tool mod in my game 💙

I didn't realize it was based on Michigan! I live 2 hours north of Detroit but this looks like where I live. lol. We are midwest but I personally do not think Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, or Indiana should be considered midwest. We are culturally different than the plains states that the other part of the midwest and we're way more east than west so wth. lol

you can keep the original they are two separate files if you downloaded the new one it would not override it

It’s a completely new save file, it should say windbrook 2.0 if you downloaded the correct one 💙💙
