Harmony OS has no relation or similarity to Android. Harmony OS is Kernel based like UNIX and Linux. Android is somewhat based on LINUX too. I say somewhat because its protocol is different from Linux though it is open source like Linux and Harmony OS too. But that is where the similarity ends. Harmony OS runs Android Apps not because it is based on Android, but because it is a multi-platform operating system. Harmony OS runs also iOS and Windows apps with no problem, but that does not mean that it is based on iOS or Windows OS. In fact Harmony OS runs applications of other OS's more efficiently and utilizes less memory than the original Operating System these apps were intended to work upon. This is also the case with purely Linux based OS's. What makes Harmony OS most special is its security. In fact Harmony OS is the most secure OS to date, as secure as UNIX Operating system upon which it is based. Therefore, no more spying by the US government through your Android devices or iOS.

At the moment it's Android AOSP just like it was a year ago. Fire OS is the same. It's not a problem because Android is Open source therefore it can be used by everyone. You can say that every major company has there own Android flavour. You can't say that One UI is the same as the Android runs on the Pixel. That's why this whole argument about timely version updates are pointless. As long as you get security updates on a Samsung and Huawei phone, tablet you probably got a better experience than on a Pixel.
@@bensgadgetreviews This whole Android owned by Google thinking is stupid. A pretty good demonstration can be found here on RUclips but sadly it's in Chinese.
