Not sure about the new background lights, but they take about 10% of the time of the previous ones to set up, so I might have to lump it. Hopefully the sound is a little better this time too :)

@@perrypix GVM sent me some new lights so I thought id better give them a go. Much better than gelling the old ones I had
Hmmm.... well I will point something out here as most of my early life I was that receptionist you all were calling, our bosses very strict as to DO NOT DISTURB! You need a worthy contact or direct contact, as most of this is never going to be seen or heard by anyone but the admin block who is there for a reason. I would leave a better route here except my bosses would not like I let that secret out so guys my advise to anyone trying to make it into this profession is first dont be afraid to experiment, dont be afraid to think out of the box and pave a different route, and have confidence in yourself to possibly pave your own way if advertisers cant see your talent because real talent, true talent is undeniable and sooner or later the population will recognize it. How you pursue that can take on any road and supporting other talents can make that road much more enjoyable.
Thanks for this video Scott, another excellent insight. This is certainly the side of my photography education that I personally would like to see more content on. Trying to understand the best way to go about reaching out to clients and not scupper my chances by saying or doing the wrong thing because of a lack of knowledge or experience. Your advice is invaluable. :-) xx

I’ve really wanted to start working with ad agencies. I tried doing this the last time you posted a video about it. But half in Edinburgh seem like they’re not working at the moment 😂 like nothing on Instagram for months 🤔

Oh gosh...everything😅 Mostly I hear, have a great portfolio and people will flock to you---not!😅 Im struggling with gaining my first real client. I've done personal work, I've done shout-outs on IG to show my work, I've niched down to a specific client base---all without a hope of being paid anytime soon. Im discouraged.
@@raysopal6 haha, it can often feel like that. I can't advise much more with no info, but maybe give this email idea ago and send out 100 ish emails and see how you go from there.
@@TinHouseStudioUK I can definitely do that. I know past emails were probably too lengthy and I never called beforehand. Also, I'd like to humbly submit myself into the possible candidates you do decide to mentor a newbie in business.
What could you write if you have very few clients (like, one local restaurant)? Could you perhaps make a vid (if you wish to of course) about getting the first 1, 2 or 5 clients. I feel like this is something that is so often overlooked among pro photogs, either because it was so long ago for them and having a client base is a given, or because they had some type of pre-established, word-of-mouth network.
Have you tried a bit of humour or personality to create a bit of intrigue 👍 (in the email)
