It's actually better.... Except it does not let you refresh somebody's location over and over. I used it a week ago when my son was dropped off by his school bus two miles from home. He was trying to walk home, and it took several extra minutes to find him. He was 14 and not at risk. Just frustrating.

With change of Find My - apple removed find my friends widget. I need it. Is there a way to enable it?
Pity you can’t add FindMy to the widgets as it was before with find my friends. It was very convenient when you wanted to locate your kids.

I am new To Iphone and using Iphone 7 Plus I just wanted to know that whenever a moderm firmware is updated on your device I don’t see any modem firmware update on my Device .Is it only for new models or My device have some problem.If my device has a problem then what is its fix

Talal Hassan yes in regards to Modem firmware, they only update if they’re trying to fix issues with cellular/wifi on certain phones.

I don’t know if it’s a bug or a fault of iPadOS but I was working on a couple of google docs pages and I accidentally hit full screen mode and I need an esc key to get out of it. Now every time I click on those docs it’s in full screen mode and I have no way of getting out of it due to lack of esc key
I remember hearing about a “find my Powerbeats Pros” (like it does for AirPods), but so far nothing in iOS 13. Hopefully they bring that back.
Had to go back and reactivate it on each device after the 13.2.2 update. Pain in the butt.

I am still confused how do I find my friend he is in my friends list but it’s not showing it says no location located?
It’s propably not meant for it, but my wife had lost her way today and with Find my I could locate her and give her directions. Cool! 👍🏼
So, with the previous version, you could have notices when someone left/arrived a destination. Is it the case that you can do that now but you need to let the person know (and they have to accept) that you want to know when they leave/arrive? That used to be a great feature from the previous version since I used it to track my kids. On another note, the map doesnt allow you 3D view anymore. Is that correct or am I missing something? Let us know if you have any additional information to share.
Wish the Find My icon didn’t look like a blueberry donut with lime icing, think could do better. It is a good thing that combined the two older Apps, though.

Good tip for those that miss the widget, set up Siri shortcuts with individuals on find my friends and have them as widgets for when you swipe left on the home screen or add as icons to your home screen 👍🏻

My brother who used to work at Apple, didn’t know what they did with it. It’s a very common question as they made the icon look like an old icon
zollotech: Apparently Apple hires everyone coz the app is pretty self explanatory by how it looks and what it’s use is.

Does FindMy (with the most current IOS in now July 2022) give you real time updates if a shared friend moves to a new location? Or must you start the FindMy process all over again to see if they moved to a new location? thanks and great video.

Hi Aaron... Since the last update I can connect to my home Wifi but cannot retrieve or send any info. The rest of my connected devices work without any issues. I know you're a really busy guy but any help would be appreciated! Take care... Patrick

When I select the “Devices”, I see a Red pin and the blue dot where I am. Is the red pin new and what is it?

I think that in the previous Find my friends app, we had the choice between sharing only the city in which we are, and the exact location. Is the "city" option not available anymore ? And I have an other question : when sharing ETA in maps, the person I share it with cannot see me moving on the map. Does sharing my position with this person through the "find my" app a requirement ? Thank you for your great videos.
Unfortunately you cannot assign avatars to the people you’re tracking so you cannot tell who’s who on the map. You used to be able to set avatar before. Why do Apple remove the function?

I lost my phone at school 2 days ago.. I have offline finding enabled. I get notifications on my iPad saying it "was just seen," I don't know where and it only gives me its last location. :/

If you have a friend on the Find my Friend section does anyone know what the actual time stamp corresponds to?? Do you have to be on your phone unlocked or can you just be connected to internet but not on your phone for it to still say ‘now’?

This was a great public service , Apple , the changing without re-directing from the "old" App is disgraceful , when you need this App in the heat of the moment to find a lost device is when you find out they changed the operation overnight .... one of the many things I dislike , we are not part of the development team , major changes need to be made a bit clearer !

Not a big fan of this new find my. The older find my I phone is much easier to use and seems more accurate.

iPhone 11 Pro Max on Find My it doesn’t have the satellite view like yours does. It just goes Street to a road map and then shows my locations
ShakerHP mate you click on the “ i “ icon to switch to satellite view from inside the Find My App.
the problem with this application is that the widget has been removed..it was very handy

Absolutely love your videos! Very helpful. I do have one question however regarding find my & my MacBook Pro? How can I get the current location of it to show up? When it is closed & not connected to WiFi the internet the location is very old : outdated. I thought one of the new features was to piggyback off other Apple devices nearby to show current location?

This might not make any sense because I’m not sure about this app but anyways I just accidentally opened this app find a friend because of stupid Siri and I’m afraid it sent a notification to all my contacts. I opened the app and pressed continue on a accident and it had a list like 3 people there with 3 faces and I just want to make sure that it didn’t send a notification saying I was tracking them because that would be embarrassing especially because I didn’t mean to
