Thanks for the great info very helpful. Was also reading about using Big rock 6s rear shocks on front and back to get better adjustment instead of those dumb spacers
Thanks for your tips. Can you say whether the 6S setup will also extend the driving time? I know that depends very much on the characteristics of the battery. But on 4S, my batteries are usually empty after 10-15 minutes. And one more question/comment: A thicker diff oil in the center diff ensures that the wheel speeds of the front and rear axles are equalized. This means usually that the front wheels are slowed down and balloon less, but the rear axle gets more wheel speed. This results in even more wheelspin on the rear axle (and poorer traction on loose surfaces) or, with enough traction, even more frequent or even earlier wheelies. Maybe you have an update on this after another bash...?
Funny, I just came back from a wheelie session and can tell you it felt like I was out there for an hour. Was ready to come inside once it went to LVC. Charging the batt now. I think I'm getting a slightly longer run time with 6s (5200mah 100c) than on 4s but (7200mah 120c) but that could be all in my head. OR it could be the lower kv motor requiring less juice do do the same thing as on 4s. The thicker center diff fluid does exactly what you mentioned, slightly reduced front tire balloon. Slightly.
Thanks for this video...I have been noticing the stock springs sagging over time..they are really soft now. I think I will try out your recommendation for the springs. I also already had to replace my Mojave 4s chassis. Hit a jump and caught the edge of a fence which broke the rear hinge pin sleeve that is mounted on the chassis. The body has flaws for sure...Mine is cracked exactly where yours did..all 4 corners. I ended up using epoxy where it cracked then duct tape. So far its holding up well, but I think the epoxy is too stiff and will break eventually again. Also, on my Mojave4s, I purchased a chassis brace/skid plate from KC RC. Really helps protect that chassis from impacts like you took with yours.
Thanks Tim, I'm really liking the spring setup I'm using now and since I don't send it to the moon 😉 it's doing just what I need it to. As far as the chassis, that was unfortunate but thinking back I crashed it hard several times in very cold weather so imma chalk that up to the sending. I bash my rigs as hard as possible then fix them up new and take it easy on them going forward.
@@bigbristvthanks man! I have some 500k diff fluid, going to try that out in the center. Do you think 30k for the front and rear is good enough or would that be too thick?
@draginzen there is already 500k in the center diff. Thick black stuff. I went up to 1M. Not sure about the front or rear but I certainly will look into it on the next service. 😀
@@bigbristv did you just get a 6S sticker kit? What motor comes in the 4S and the 6s? I have the 4S that I picked up a couple days ago but I've been enjoying driving it so much I haven't taken it apart to look lol
@@gregmaggert8561 The 4s is fantastic as it is, great fun to bash. I was looking for endless wheelies since local areas to run are scarce. I bought a sticker set with the 6s. The 4s Mojave comes with a 120a esc and 2400kv 3660 motor. The 6s comes with a 150a esc and 2050kv motor.

How did it hold up to 6S power long term.? I'm confidethat the gears & diffs will take it but I'm not so sure about the composite driveshafts... Thanks bud.!! 👍 👍 👍
@bigbristv Awesome.!! 👍 👍 👍 It definitely needs a more powerful system, I've geared the stock system up to 18 teeth & it's getting way too hot & going into thermal shutdown. @alantaylor353 😂 I went up to 18t and that worked (ran hotter), but 16t on 6s was a MUCH better fit. So much power! I had a whole new Mojave on my hands 😉
