Shankar Mahadevan according to me is a powerhouse of talent, energy & calibre. He's just so perfect & impossible to match. So, happy to have him talking about my favourite Rahman ji & sharing all these wonderful moments. O2 never fails to reach the expectations! Keep going ❤
This week’s episode sounds even better than last episode. Keep it going. I agree with the Moment of the Day though my choice could be about how Panchatan Inn, Rahman’s old studio is SM’s fav studio as it had those divine vibes is a 💯 totally fresh insight for me, never before heard from anyone! Kudos to Shankar Mahadevan for that!! Really, every Rahman song recorded in his first studio had a much unique and divine grace and magic than what’s coming from his ultra modern studio now! It’s, in a way, his divinely consecrated studio from where he had his most iconic and humble beginnings in the 90s. Can never forget who Rahman is, is also partly because of that studio and all the recordings that took place there. Certainly, that’s why we are now missing that unique divine like trance flavour in his songs which we so enjoyed earlier. I really appreciate SM for bringing this out!

OMG I would love to go to an old school ARR concert with all these old artists wonder whether it would happen anytime soon. I am not a big fan of the new kids singing at the concerts now. Nothing like the originals.

Those times were different sounds cliche but that innocence and soul and beauty of songs were out of the world.. Jhoome ja , jhoome jaa , badal jo hai garja was superbly sang by him, he sings that same song without music in a show called Harmony on Sony tv long back. Rukhi sukhi roti was also a funny song .. overall Shankar ji justifies his work.
@O2india loved this episode. Think I noticed a minor mistake... At 15:33 while mentioning SEL's compositions, the cover of movie DUS is seen which was scored by Vishal-Shehkar...
It also reflects how artists support each other... and during concerts... entire team works as a unit... they just want that every artist should perform well..
