Fuck I hate trimming arbor vidas 😂 I had to top 9 of them they were initially 20 feet each brought them down to 10 feet, then trimmed them real nice, and of course I only charged $550 like a total idiot, we live and we learn now I know lol

Awesome just in time! , I just picked up another new customer that wants me to take care of everything on the property .. There is some trees that require trimming too .. I'm trying to figure out not to undersell it and not over price it .. I just started my business this year .. I have tons of experience with trees and lawns but I SUCK at pricing it to make it worth it wild lol but I'm getting better as I do the work lol its a learning game I guess lol .. But I'm very good at Talking-to the customers and selling lol but suck at the quotes IN time I guess right lol keep up the awesome work Keith !!!
Hey Keith. Because of you we we're inspired to start our Landscaping business in 2020. We're located all the way in Trinidad and Tobago. We know this is an old video, but have you started asking the client for video footage instead of driving all the way to their property?
Question Keith. I am here in Wisconsin and own a local landscape company. When you trim the foraythias, aren't you removing blooms since they grow on what we call old wood?
You can make more $$$ in other careers if money is what motivates you but it takes a special individual to succeed in this industry ! It's a labor of love that separate the men from the boys ain't that right men ?!
I didnt know you stopped doing tree service, IS that all trees no matter size or only BIG trees? is there a reason why . Possibly something we should watch out for? Thanks in advance bro
Hey Keith, I am primarily in the tree service industry and dabble in landscaping if I have to. That’s a good price for the tree removal and stump grinding, what I offer to my customers when we’re going to take out a berm and remove root trails I offer to have 3-4 inches of dirt and then put fresh sod on top. This way they can go from stump to fresh sod in the same day. I also charge the same price or a little more to do so, is there a reason you don’t use sod?
Hey. Me and my best friend recently started a small landscaping business. He has the experience ( working under companies ). We both come from a lower income area and it hurts our pricing. How do we overcome feeling bad for charging clients higher prices. It’s not that we are trying to underbid others, more so be “fair” to ourselves and them.
Not trying to blow smoke up your ass, but that was an excellent video. I a lot of thought was put into the way it was produced. I liked the smooth jazz too.
I like 4hr jobs...$400-$600 each in and out. 2 a day.. Of course total of 10+ hour days cause clean up + dump is a B... arrrg! Upside helping hands $200 + dump fee's about $100. End of day = $500 to $900. Everyday would be nice, yet still a feryry tail . I LIVE IN ORANGE CA. WILL I HAVE TO ADJUST MY PRICES?
At what point do you tell the customer that there isn’t enough work here to justify sending a crew. I’m a solo trimmer and my minimum is 225$. 250$ next year. It’s really surprising how many people will pay my minimum for a half hour of work 😃😃. Love those jobs!!! Thanks K. Keep em coming 🌳🌳🌳
It's all about your knowledge and skills. That's what I learned. Thanks to Keith. I started the same way he did. I did not make the same mistakes on pricing because I have been watching Keith. Now if it won't for Keith and the end of this videos he put out I will be doing jobs for $100 a day
I seen in a different video you should never remove more than 30% of a tree when pruning/reducing. You said you're taking about 50% off. I know you're a pro but maybe something to think about if you haven't already.
From the customer's perception (on the ground). 50% of the tree would appear to be removed. But in actuality, only 20% of the tree would've been removed, (by removing 1/3 of the bottom shelf of branches.. (still leaving the middle and upper 2/3 of branches) plus the entire trunk of the tree and all of the Huge branch arms inside.
Let me guess you walk to school in 2 foot of snow 3 miles each way and you left the house at four in the morning right Keith? It’s amazing when you look back at how hard we all had to work to get where we are in life and when we tell the stories to this generation they just don’t get it. take it easy kid👍🏻
Doesn’t seem believable for someone who made $900 a week to lose a $475 a month apartment. There are people who literally make $600 a week and by the Grace of god make ends meet with a $1800 a month apt. Here in California.

I love the young landscapers diet. I got the chocolate milk, swiss rolls, and oatmeal cookies. Follow that up with slme taco bell for lunch.

Damn bro, $3000.00 blew my mind. Very nice, I’m going to keep charging my worth.
you are double what i would bid for the different tree portions. If you can get those prices...good for you.

Landscaping is Ike a secret club for men. You’re either in it or you’re not.
Exactly! And the old school doesn’t mix well with the new school.
It’s even more secret to the women out there, kicking butt.

You shouldn’t crown raise a tree too hard. It imbalances the crown and makes wind throw more likely. Good to see how you price though mate

@ keith Kalfas how to estimate small jobs? Do you figure out by how long it will take to do a job ?
Just by experience of doing hundreds of jobs, I know how long they'll realistically take.
