Welles is from the very small town of Ozark, Arkansas. Growing up, he was dirt broke and struggled to make ends meet. All he knew was music - it was like a religion for him. He never traveled and really never left Ozark for 22 years, but spent all of his time at the library, renting things to read, watch and listen to - think, J.D Salinger, Apocalypse Now, and Led Zeppelin.
It wasn't until one day; he threw caution to the wind, moved to Nashville and started recording songs with acclaimed producers like Dave Cobb, which will become his forthcoming album that's set to drop in June. He's started to travel and play fests like Bonnaroo, ACL and opening for Greta Van Fleet and others, as well as a tour in Europe.
