In an exclusive sit down Akothee shares her academic journey on Unfiltered with Gachambi on how a 4-year degree took her 14 years. Akothee explains in detail how her education was interrupted by early marriage and pregnancy and above all, how she came out on top as the top brand in east and Central Africa.

That university is flexible. Makerere University in UG gives you up to 2 extra years to finish any University degree. Beyond that the course will be dead.
I also don't know of any university in the world that would give you more than 2 years before discontinuing you. This Kenyan university is so tolerant 😅

Akothe is emblematic of what's perceived as wrong with womanhood. The fact that she deviates so far from the ideal of a woman with strong family values is disheartening. I usually find it difficult to engage with her interviews; she embodies the archetype of a woman who struggles with accountability. Despite being at an age where she should be settled and caring for her family, she seems preoccupied with chasing clout and seeking attention online. It's time for her to accept this. I find it truly unfortunate that we tend to sympathize with her, even when her actions are clearly misguided from the outset. There are so many deserving women with admirable values who could be given a platform instead.
If some believe that Akothe's difficulties in maintaining relationships are solely due to the men she has divorced, then there may be a deeper issue within our society that we need to address.
You must lucky to be living in a oerfect world with perfect people. Then again no one knows you or your stories so we can all come here and type away about how morally perfect we are.
