Yeah, such a classy gentleman like Yvan is a very good presenter for his brand like Thierry Wasser for Guerlain! The brands should do more in this direction & show the perfumers and brand owners behind, instead of celebs and models.

Hey Joe, hope you had a nice christmas. Sprayed Carlisle Saturday on blotter, 28 hrs. later the Scent DNA of a fluffy pleasant apple crumble shine unbroken due to the use of high quality ingredients (especially the red apple and the stunning osmanthus). Unbelieveable good stuff, next week I will try that on skin! 😊👍 Seems like a strong contender for me as my christmas scent 2019. Chris from FRAG-MENTAL already used this for this special occasion. So delicious! Have a great goodsmellin' year 2019 and lots of discoverys and pleasant surprises! ☕😁👌
I started really to like this house I owned Layton it was like the best for me stile I love it but I didn't like some others now I own barley and godolphin habdan and also thinking of buying Carlisle I gave it a try in the store honestly first I did not like but after 10 minutes when it started to dry it smells great really I loved that one spray on my wrist I think it will be the next one to add to the collection
Parfums de Marly has REFORMULATED Carlisle. I own an older formulation which has an alcohol concentration of 77%. The new formulation I see in stores has 81% alcohol. My formulation is a dark ORANGE / AMBER color. The new formulation is a very light, faint copper color. The new formulation does not last as long and it smells different. Parfums de Marly fragrances are ALWAYS getting reformulated and become much weaker than their ORIGINAL releases. Parfums de Marly HAS NOT been transparent when it comes to the reformulation of their fragrances. Herod, Layton & Oajan have also been reformulated and have 3%-4% more alcohol in newer batches.
@@JoeSCENTMe Donna, in the NYC store is clueless about the reformulations. I had to educate her. She just sells the fragrances. I emailed CEO & Creative Director Julien Sprecher and Managing Director Yvan Jacqueline . They did not respond. I have older versions of PDM fragrances and I keep the boxes. I compared the ingredients & alcohol content on my boxes to the new boxes sold in the department stores. I do not think that PDM can argue that I am 100% accurate with my points so they will ignore me. Most people have no clue that they are reformulating their fragrances. Weaker performance & a different smell.
@@Ed-ce5mb Yeah, Donna is not the right person to talk to about it. Are you in nyc? Are you able to come visit the main store when they do another event where Yvan will be there? Maybe it would be worth going to one of those events just to get some 1 on 1 time with Yvan. I understand your frustrations. Maybe Yvan can shed light on the subject.
@@JoeSCENTMe I thought that Donna worked in the main store 805 Washington Street. Yvan never replied to my email. I own a lot of PDM fragrances but I can not repurchase new bottles since I will be getting a reformulated batch that I do not think is as good.

Carlisle is on my top 5 for PDM
I love Byerly, it’s a scent you should review.
