      I like it when you can get a lot for a little. These are ok for the price. Most people can't buy good inverters so I like to show the cheapest side and what too expect.

      @@GoingOffGrid101 I hear ya but to recommend one of these is hard for me. Even the Reliable is hard to recommend. Good to hear from you and merry Christmas. Cheers brother

      @@frankz1125 I guess I'm coming across to positive. I don't recommend anything unless it's proven over time.

    I have the 24V/120VAC version of the 48V unit. Allegedly 1000W but I didn't expect it to be capable of that of course. In my application it is called on to supply around 500W and it does so for extended periods - powering a water heater. It's a few years old now and is still going so for the price, shrug.

      @@GoingOffGrid101 It died. A couple of the FETs on the DC boost supplies shorted and took out the driver circuitry for them or the driver failed and left the FETs on opposing and killed the FETs. FETs I can replace but replacing the driver IC is too fiddly for me these days. Wind the clock back 20 years and I would tackle it. Still for the price I got my monies worth out of it.

    Hi love your videos however I need a little help on fixing my reliable 5kw inverter I contacted reliable but they won't sell me the FETs saying I need to check with the seller .you had upgrades made to one of your inverter and it worked great [ my input FETs are the prob] my 3500w 24v been working since 2017 and no prob I need to up grade ,please help ty Lewis from Jamaica

      I never upgraded the input fets only the output fets, I would just replace with shock fets as the transformers will have a hard time with higher loads. the output fets are more worth while upgrading as they take all the abuse of large inductive loads, I used IGBTs on the output, I have yet to try upgrading the input but i might make a video on it, thanks for the idea!

    There good for running lights that's it

  • @retrozmachine1189
    @retrozmachine1189 8 месяцев назад

    Not contradicting you on the output transistors being FETs but it's not unusual to find IGBTs being used in the output switching. Might be worthwhile taking a look at the component to see what they really are.

    It's very hard to find a real watts inverter online unless it's branded. So many outrageous claims and they never live up-to them. Spent many an hour looking for a 12v to 240v that can do 2500+ for a decent price.
