I have a Ryobi Mower with the Kohler 19.5 motor, and it has the exact same problem. The second problem is the mower doesn't have a mower deck, but it was free, so I took it. It ran and rode fine, but then it sat for over three years! Thanks for the video!

I am having problems getting the hot wire that connects to the bottom of the starter off. What two sizes of wrenches you used to put them back on?

I used both 11mm wrenches or you can use 2. 7/16 but one of those have to be thinner than the other one in my case I had some of my tools grinded down to thinner size for my die grinders or other
But you can use a socket and a wrench
But the wrench have to be thinner
I was just about ready to send back the replacement starter motor i just received. The original starter motor did not have the alignment tab and I did not know where it was supposed to go/fit. After watching your video, I was able to install my replacement starter motor. Thank you.
