I was watching another video on this topic but I accidentally clicked off it. I couldn’t find it again and in a second search I found this sermon. What a blessing 🙏
Second time watching this, and so blessed the second journey around. I would say we all are God's creation and have the capacity for goodness since we began with him after all in the garden. However we are only truly good when choosing Him through Christ Jesus amidst all the insanity and chaos. So it is choosing Him that makes us good or is it He who chooses us? Or have we always been His? Blessed, blessed, blessed indeed, in the name of Jesus Amen.
Beautiful. If righteousness and salvation could be achieved thru good works, then Christ died for nothing. Since we know Jesus didn't die for nothing, then works are proven to not achieve salvation. (Good works are good to do, just not for salvation.) Ya can't buy your way into heaven with money or with good works. Some people, not sure what percentage, even tithe thinking it will help save them somehow.
I interpreted it as Dont put your faith in the world, jesus was flesh and worldly. He was making a point that through god and our refognition of his holyness we can come to understand the true nature of good.
There is no good in me but Christ. Amen

Pastor what does it mean of Matthew 19:17 in KJV, why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God

I think Jesus was asking if he recognised that He was God in human form
