think about it this way. beofre this update, the main ways a person could get verified badge is being a popular game dev or ugc creators. Or being a yter in star program. but popular devs & ugc creators often make millions of robux a month, so the value of verified badge is obviously close to the same amount a fairly popular game dev / ugc creator makes. and lo and behold, 1,000,000 robux = $3,500
Pretty much kinda useless now if Roblox handing out free verified to players

Twitter basically replaced the verification status with the Gold one, and made the old one paid. They didn't really go against the point of being verified since the Gold one exist.

Depends, I am verified and I typically only get crowded in specific games like Pls Donate but it also helps my name appears lower in player leaderboards so people don't notice until I speak when my check shows in chat. But even then in most games people don't care or someone will try to talk to me through chat across the map or something cause they are kids and maybe know who we are. It's humbling to talk to people who wanna learn some stuff.

I think it'd be cool to have the verification icon purely because I think it's funny when people follow me around in games. Like, I join Pls Donate and people see the 20k+ I've donated and immediately I get swarmed by lost puppies who want my money. lol They should try to calm down a little. I don't donate to people who run up and beg me most of the time. I don't know how crazy it'd be if I got verified, but I don't hate the attention tbh.

How would you like it when you play a fighting game and everyone in the server starts targeting you to show off they killed a verified person? Or when some people start exploiting just to follow you around (this one is not only for fighting games) and basically annoy you? There’s a reason many verified people use alt accounts or buy a priv sever to play almost any game.

get mobile authenticator on your roblox account now, my game hit like 1.5m hours of playtime in 60 days and i was thrilled to get the badge but then i saw you need authenticator app for 180 days...
also sharkblox said thats a very big game but the truth it a lot of games can and have achieved it, from my experiences its just under 1k concurrent that gets you it. good luck to aspiring devs!
by the way, if the game is on your account, or if you're the owner of the group with the game, you don't even need the followers! roblox will just automatically assign people with authenticator for 180 days and 1m playtime in the last 90 games that also have the game on their profile or they're the group holder

Yeah I agree. It distinguishes the artists from Telegram bots, and it's helpful if you as the artist have a good amount of popularity of where you'd get impersonated but you don't have enough subs to get regular verification
