Very neat idea for a trap. Next time try something without use of batteries, working with strings and simple mechanisms(catapults/crossbows come into mind)
We need to hang out. I'm middle class American so know that's not possible. Very interesting, I'm trying to make less than lethal traps for around my garden. Just to scare trespassers

Can you get percussion caps for back powder muzzleloaders ? If so, two finishing nails placed where the jaw of trap hits nails thus setting off the caps. Just a thought.

Booby Traps are only good in a WORL time. In my country you can not legally make them , as it could harm a policeman or a fireman. I think a trip mechanism should only be used with lights or sound, and NOT A Trap. Good to see PAG back on the youtube Thanks!

I made one some thing like this but put two rat traps together drilled a hole to fit a 12 gauge shell and saudered a pin on the trap arm

Instead of explosives it could be wired to a transformer backwards so it ramps power up instead,an have that connected to a fence you buried under your perimeter or your kill zone
