Band for this tour were: Kenneth Lovelace (guitar/fiddle/vocals), Buddy Church (guitar), Charlie Owens (steel guitar), Herman ‘Hawk’ Hawkins (bass), Jo Jo Tate (drums) and Bill Strom (organ/vocals). Linda Gail Lewis wasn't on the early shows of this tour (she'd very recently given birth to Mary Jean), but joined from the Hamburg show on 12th May onwards.

Richard from The Netherlands (Holland) 🎹🎹🎹
      English version
Sometimes it seems that the translation software in my computer takes on a life of its own, translating a piece of text in a rather bizarre way every now and then.
Hence a careful attempt in French first, plus also in the English language just to be sure.
Now I am 62 years old, but just like you I was also 17 years old when I attended a massive sold out concert in Amsterdam. That concert made a very deep impression on me. It was mind blowing.
Just like for you, also applies to me: "Quels souvenirs"‼
      All the best,
Richard from The Netherlands (Holland) 🎹🎹🎹

Jerry Lee's 1972 European Tour might be one of the best he ever did in his life. Every show was a huge explosion of pure musicianship & showmanship. This recording from Paris, France certainly is absolutely fantastic! I've spent the weekend remastering the original audio for you. I've removed annoying background noises & scratches and put Jerry Lee's voice & piano a lot more upfront in the mix. Enjoy listening to the full show on our JerryLeeTV. :)

Great show, but a poor mix - where's Jo Jo Tate's fine drumming?! Paris and Lyon were amongst the few shows on this tour where he concentrated mostly on Rock 'n' Roll (for his first London show in 6 years, he opened with 'Before The Next Teardrop Falls' and closed with 'The Old Rugged Cross'!). I agree though, a fascinating tour!

@@peterchecksfield9958 I agree on the drums, but for my amateur remaster skills this is all I could do. Hopefully someday all this will be done professional. Compared to the source audio this is definitely an improvement as the scratchy permanent background noise is gone and the piano is much more audible. Let's cross our fingers someday a real professional sound technician will work on all these shows.
The Rainbow Theater Show from 72 is among my favorites. But sadly the audio quality isn't that exciting on that one.

@@JerryLeeLewis-TV Jerry didn't actually play the Rainbow Theatre in 1972 (only in 1977, 1878 and 1980)... I'm guessing you mean the London Palladium? Most fans at the time preferred the 1972 Slough shows (Slough is only just outside London, so a lot of fans attended both locations!).

@@peterchecksfield9958 Of course you're correct. I wish I had your knowledge when it comes to show dates. I have to look things up before I actually know them. All this happened way before my time. Are there any videos of any of the 1972 UK Shows? Recently a guy in our group claimed that the Belgium 72 footage is actually Glasgow 72. Not sure if I can believe that though.

@@JerryLeeLewis-TV The only UK footage from the 1972 European Tour that I've seen is '24 Hours' (which is from Glasgow). There is of course also Wembley Stadium ('The London Rock & Roll Show'), but that was from a later visit in August.
