    Wife Demanded Open Marriage, I'm Angry and Demand a Divorce Immediately

  • @hockey_rules

    This story reminded me of other stories where the person wanting the open marriage tries to make it look like they were a good person "because I could have just cheated and not told you...". The excuses people come up with to make it sound like open marriage is some wonderful, revolutionary experience.

    Women think very seriously before you ask your husband for a open marriage, you know your husband so think really hard if you want to lose him before asking

      Two reasons for this, she either had already started a physical relationship, was gaslighting, and needed to assuage her guilt or she thought he would "love" her enough to just accept and sit at home accepting the scraps of love she gave him.

      @rogernagel1041 Yup, and in 99.9% of the cases, they have someone else in mind and, at a minimum, have had an emotional affair already.

      @@TomasM303 Bingo. Any woman warning an open relationship and hearing a story like this or reading warnings like @stevealexander5415 post, isn't going to suddenly not want an open relationship. If the realize their husbands might divorce them if they ask... they'll draw the other logical conclusion and just not ask. If your wife wants some other guys d-ck in them, it's already too late for any type of logic.

    Of course theres someone else . Its just fortunate for this character that he found out early and can now move on. She wants him to support her while she becomes a 304.

    I have been with my wife 23 years. She ever tried this outside our son. I would never engage her ever again in a friendly manner. His reaction, though it was priceless it brought him down almost to her level. I say almost cause she went behind his back. He did it right in front of her.

    you can tell this story is AI generated or an exercise in creative writing when the story goes into too much detail during conversations "her eyes were shap with determination" & "I've been thinking a lot about our marriage, she said slowly". There is no one who creates a post about their cheating SO who writes like that.

    Why do women get upset when they get what they asked for? They never dreamed their husbands could do better than them! When the reality of their husbands doing better than them hits, they want to stop the open marriage as they only wanted it for themselves.Women always forget that there's seven women for every man and we have more and better choices than they do.

    Don't ask who the other man is. It doesn't matter, because she's going to sleep with him no matter what you say (if she hasn't already).
    Don't agree OR disagree to the open marriage. Again, she's already made her mind up, but don't agree. Tell her that she's an adult and can make her own choices.
    Immediately get a P.I. or gather evidence yourself. She'll be open, almost flagrant in her affair now. Even in a no-fault state, proof of cheating will help during the divorce.
    Get a lawyer and divorce her. She chose to sleep with other men while she was married. You deserve someone better.

    This is what will happen when they let a random guy get into their head saying things like it happens a lot and the spouses understand and it strengthens the marriage. People should be talking to their friends and family about this so they can hear the consequences of what will follow but never do. It's already easy to know what's expected when the person suggests this idiocy. That they can sleep around and the spouse will remain faithful and stay in the marriage and sacrifice their self respect.

  • @BW022
    @BW022 3 месяца назад +2

    OP certainly didn't demand a divorce immediately. He wasted his time hinting at a divorce, trying to explain to her why this wasn't acceptable (as if the marriage wasn't already over) and some stupid attempt to make her feel jealous by calling another women. I can imagine being blindsided, but none of this is instantly demanding a divorce. It's a silly form of begging to save your marriage. If he wants to actually 'demand' a divorce either leave and never speak to her again while you file for divorce, or (smarter) give her an "I'll think about it", see a lawyer, and spend the couple of weeks it takes to file preparing for the divorce.

    Emily has some issues if the year before she discussed starting a family and now wants to explore an open relationship. Maybe it’s immaturity or self doubt? Idk. But maybe marriage isn’t for her at this time. Good move for you to move on before too much time and expense is invested.

      Some Chad.. talked her up.. and she "swooned" at the attention from another man, some women ARE THAT WEAK.... funny thing is, like this story.. when the Husband, turns the tables..... the CHAD all to often.. disappears... his lines were all BS.. all he REALLY wanted, was to EFF "Emily".. not to "have her".... and when he hears she is Divorced?? He's outta there. Because she will want to cling to the Chad.. and Chads aren't about RELATIONSHIPS.... whooops! When will these LOW IQ gals ever learn..

      I bet the man Emily was talking to approached her and initiated the 'friendship'. He's a player who knows what kind of woman to target and exactly what to say.
      He was friendly, and slowly started to make Emily question her marriage. And he was there to offer a 'solution that worked for SO many other couples...'
      Don't get me wrong. Emily is to blame just as much for being weak enough to fall for it. But she's just another notch on this other guy's belt.

    It's only when a wife realizes her soon-to-be-ex can REPLACE her with other options, that she considers the err of her ways. Those stupid friends of hers, or that stupid guy who told her she could "have her cake and eat it too" were all WRONG.

  • @TechnoMageB5

    Suggesting opening the marriage is announcing an INTENTION.
    An intention you supposedly forsaked when you said your marriage vows.
    This is why just suggesting the idea of opening the marriage ends the marriage. Your partner trusted you to stay committed completely to them, and you violated that trust. It's never "merely a conversation" when you do that. Breaking trust alters relationships forever - like breaking a mirror, you can put it back together, but at best the cracks will always be there.
    Move on.

    • @BW022
      @BW022 3 месяца назад

      Replace 'open marriage' with any other morally repulsive request and it becomes obvious that you aren't just asking.
      "Hey honey, what do you think me murdering you parents for their life insurance?"
      "Hey honey, what do you think about me blowing our savings on prostitutes?"
      "Hey honey, what do you think about me having children with your sister?"
      etc.
      None of these are just hypotheticals, or things which you are just asking her opinion on. You don't randomly bring insane ideas up until you are some level considering them.
