1. yes, the base game still exists and fans do still acknowledge it and enjoy it 2. the game isn't "full of mods" you have to manually install them like literally every other game 3. Their Kickstarter isn't a "scam" people are just mad the games taking so long to develop bc of how much faster mods get developed not realizing they have to make a full game that you have to pay MONEY for so they have to make it as good as possible
