Holy cow you're getting good man. You used to struggle to do a simple flip without the helicopter squirreling all over the place. You've improved by absolute leaps and bounds.

Thank you! Lots of practice and lots of crashes! 😂

@El-Jefe Hi! In this video, I am using a transmitter that supports the DSM2 and DSMX protocol, which is what I normally use for models. When this heli comes out of the box, it does not transmit the same protocol that the transmitter uses. The satellite receiver plugs into the flight controller, and essentially “translates” what’s going on in your controller back to the flight controller.

@@JonsRC Aw, you should totally switch to radio master, the freedom and flexibility they offer is unparalleled, it's awesome.

I flew (and am currently flying) Radiomaster in this video. The “OMP” protocol in the 4-1 module is completely jank and doesn’t respond to pitch or throttle curves. Read up online and other people have had issues with it too. Even though I fly Radiomaster, I still use spektrum receivers because it’s what I’m used to and what I trust. (i have been dabbling into ELRS too!)

@@JonsRC Ah, I see, I actually know what you are describing, so the OMP hobby protocol is actually mapped completely differently from the DSMX or futaba protocols. So in DMSX the pitch and throttle are on channels 6 and 3 respectively, in the OMP protocol those are handled in the flight controller of the helicopter itself. Gyro is mapped on channel 7 within the OMP protocol instead of channel 5. I have yet to actually experiment with trying to add custom headspeeds with the OMP protocol but i have been able to modify the collective curve. But if you were to install an sfhss satellite or a DSMX Satellite on any of those OMP helis you can actually use standard programming within the radiomaster just fine from my experience. The main advantage I enjoy with radiomaster is the fact that I I can program the helicopter to do custom functions or program custom cyclic servo travel curves to override the dead band that is programmed into the OMP flight controller.

Very nice flight with a fantastic helicopter! I love my M2 EVO so much that I bought a second one... just in case. And as you say the M2 EVO tailrotor is so much more quiet than the M2 V2 was (is). Both are great helis, but the M2 EVO is just a bit better in all aspects! Great flying skills as well. You have a lot of confidence!! Great Job!!

Hello. you say it's not the best helicopter, which one do you think is the best, with a rear engine? Flyed great!

Hello! I did not say that this was not the best helicopter. I said, “I’m definitely NOT the best helicopter PILOT”. I think this is an awesome helicopter and love it. I think this is the best direct-drive helicopter I have flown! Thanks for watching!

Is this a collective pitch copter?

      Yes. This is collective pitch.
