I have skied on leaves a couple of times and it feels pretty weird compared to real snow. But it is definitely possible to turn a steer somewhat. It is surprisingly fun and and awesome. It is a real challenge, so you need to pick the right spot and be an expert skier with a high level of athleticism to do it without too much risk.
