I did. Fun stuff for a beginner. However, I knew most of them. My mother was a bird watcher....so....she spread the word. I’m trying to attract birds now in my yard. I’m so excited!! 😌
I love feeding the birds trying to learn all of them I love the blue Jays the Red Cardinal and the Morning Doves and of Course the Sparrows OMG I love the baby Sparrows
Thanks. This is a really good video for new birders! One exception though, you forgot those big gray "birds" that scamper in on four legs and have the big bushy tail.
Hi! Just subscribed to your channel. I have a number of birds come to my patio and feed. Mourning Doves, Red Cardinals, Blue jays, finches. Mockingbirds and Grackles I feed them bread and they have a ball😀I also have a 🐱 and she gets a kick watching them and the finches have gotten so tame that they come amd sat on the railings and fly down and eat(we are upstairs) Also i have hummingbirds that comes to my feeder. They are a joy to watch!
What a great video Rack!!! This is a great top 10!! On point with some of the greatest birds we have and that we enjoy in our yards and feeding stations!! You introduced me to a few birds that I did not know the names of 😁 Thank you Rack, excellent information for all bird watchers!! I appreciate what you do and I hope that you and your family I've had a very blessed weekend!!🙏💚👍🙏
I enjoyed this and am starting my backyard bird sanctuary - hopefully. I have to make a statement about that #10 bird - Mockingbird - Tennessee State Bird - my place of birth. Those birds never hush!! They’ve been known to sing at night. I remember when my sister first got married, they lived in an apartment and a Mockingbird kept them awake at night. 😂 Just saying!
Nice video, short and to the point. We have several feeders grouped together and see at least twenty different birds. The wrens are in the front yard, rarely seen but we sure hear them constantly. My question is: I believe there is a brown thrasher that has been coming to the feeder and also eating on the ground. I've never seen one before and was wondering if they are common in northeast Ohio.
Marilyn Whiting Thanks for watching and commenting! Brown Thrasher is considered abundant throughout Ohio. here is a closer look ruclips.net/video/9Bx2qRRxzAk/видео.html
Very helpful video. I keep trying to identify a bird I hear in Maryland. It has a haunting, almost melancholy tone in a minor key with a descending melody -- 3-4 intervals and usually 6 notes. Any suggestions would be great. It's not usually in the forest, usually just trees in suburban lawns.
@@BirdGardenChannel Thank you. I will look it up. Sometimes, it varies it's melody. There is one ascending one. The other day, I was able to identify a two-note descending song by using a virtual piano keyboard. The notes were D and B flat.
@@BirdGardenChannel And that was it! I just looked it up. We have asked multiple birdwatchers, getting answers like Thrushes and others. You are awesome! Thank you!
Karen Schroeder Thanks for watching and commenting - Welcome to the Volunteer State! We began attracting many more individuals and species variety when we added a water feature. Moving water by drips, vibrations, and flowing water really amp up the attraction 👍🏻 Good luck!
joseph spellman Thanks for watching! Small bird with all black head in a mix of yard birds makes me think of a Junco. Please keep me posted on what you decide.
I'm a year late but I've seen a new bird here in Indiana, I've seen a lot of birds but never a ALL WHITE bird the size of brown bird or finch. Any idea of what it could be?
Coreena Burke Thanks for watching and commenting! European Starlings can congregate in big flocks that become messy and very consumptive at a feeding station. That said, I think of them as sometimes aggravating rather than actually bad.
Heard a bird early the other morning I never heard before. It had a long high pitched trill that didn’t vary. It sang in three continuous repetitions. I don’t know what it was.
I kinda believe that the red bellied woodpeckers store there food in tree holes 🤔 I might be wrong but we have one of those birds who comes to our feeder quite often and he carries seeds in its beak and stumps it in a hole on a tree. Am I wrong? Oh, and by the way, I love your videos. Thanks for the explanations on birds it's very interesting
My apartment manager has confused the Northern Morning Dove to a Pigeon. She made me stop feeding because of the problems that Pigeon's can cause. I found a way to feed anyway (-: Comprende?
M Mahtnart Thanks for watching! Doves and Quails may have some similar sounds. The doves in this video are Mourning Doves and they make a cooing sound.
Susie McCoy Thanks for watching! We don't record the sound at the feeding station because it's close to a large water feature. I miss not having the bird song in these videos too. Need to figure something out.

A mockingbird is a such courageous “guy”. I saw him in the air attacking a crow and even some kind of hawks. And thanks for sharing.
Love it that birds eat insects!

Can you feed the birds in the Fall and the Winter
Denese Spann Yes! We feed the birds year round at Bird Garden RUclips channel 24/7 LIVE bird feeding station!
What is that bird on the right bottom
rose pack The birds in the intro on the bottom right of the tray feeder are American Goldfinch in fall/winter plumage. Thanks for watching!
Yup, I identify those as birds
I’ve recently moved from the Chicago suburbs to middle TN. I’m not attracting as many birds as I have expected. Any suggestions?

UnicornLady Tech Thanks for watching! Your IG bird looks like an American Robin 👍

What trees do starling live in
Laverne Fearron Thanks for watching! Starlings are not too choosy - I've seen them frequent and roost in various types of deciduous and conifer trees.
I'm a year late but I've seen a new bird here in Indiana, I've seen a lot of birds but never a ALL WHITE bird the size of brown bird or finch. Any idea of what it could be?
