    i played with mcdavid as a kid he was insane, he played a year up and we still won every game 15-0 lol, we had to play in tournaments 1 or 2 years older than use and still smoke them 10-0. when he was a kid like 8 years old he'd just stare at the play from the bench while most of us fooled around. i remember watching him on a breakaway from the bench and he shot over the net but wrapped around his own shot and scored before anyone caught up, while i couldn't even barely raise the puck lol. all he wants to do is play hockey and win it's all he thinks about since 5 or 6 years old

    This should be an easy series for the Oilers. Their next challenge is the Canucks in round two. I just don’t see how the Oilers get past the Canucks. If anything, I feel like the Canucks have the best shot at winning the cup amongst the rest of the Canadian teams in the playoffs.

      Vancouver has had ab easy year sine getting off to a good start. Now it's crunch time and the Canucks will choke as usual

    • @pyRoy6
      @pyRoy6 15 дней назад +1

      There's no easy series in the NHL without a tonne of luck. If the Oilers meet the Canucks, it's hard to say who has an edge. The underlying numbers give the Oilers an advantage, but the Canucks have managed to keep an unusually high shooting % and save % all season...and it might continue through the playoffs.

    • @marcoohello
      @marcoohello 15 дней назад

      I can't see the Canucks knocking off the Oil in the 2nd round. Oilers are playoff experienced and the canucks are not. The faces of the Oilers tell me everything, they are on a mission and looking for redemption. Great season by the Canucks but they need to have 3 or 4 years of deep playoff runs to actually achieve anything. If they do meet. Oilers in 6.

  • @alabs02

    Unassisted Hyman goal, kings player clearly had possession with that interception; McDavid getting a bs assist whereas MacKinnon lost his home point streak on a very similar opposing team puck touch. The nhl, inconsistency at its finest.

    • @pyRoy6
      @pyRoy6 15 дней назад +1

      Possession (by the ridiculous way it's defined in the rulebook) doesn't prevent assists. Assists are awarded so long as "no defender plays or has control of
      the puck subsequently." On top of that, Mackinnon's non-assist was on what was deemed an own-goal, which has its own stipulation in the rule book, and explicitly prevents the awarding of assists. You could complain about one or the other, but you can't complain about consistency, given that different parts of the rulebook apply.

      @@pyRoy6 I get your argument, doesn't change the fact its nonsensical by the nhl. Are you telling me what the kings player did here was less of a contributing factor to the goal than what the nyr dmen did? The kings player stops the puck to clear it ("defender plays the puck" according to what you stated from the rulebook) and Hyman jumps in to shoot it before he can. The nyr dmen prevents Rantanen from getting the puck and in doing so Rantanen smacks his stick and the puck goes in... edit* if this is nhl24 this is unassisted guaranteed
      Side note beautiful play by McDavid, it just shouldn't be an assist :P

    • @pyRoy6
      @pyRoy6 15 дней назад +1

      @@alabs02 Yeah, rules are a bit weird. But I think there's a difference between merely touching a puck, and shooting/passing it into your own net, although you could argue that that's not what happened in the MacKinnon non-assist.
