Great video. This is so important for us to understand so we can free ourselves from commercial products.

    This is wonderful. Thank you!
I will be paying further attention to your uploads regarding bio char and this comes as a timely reminder that I want to make charcoal :D

Please focus on its effects on your plants first (if any). Nobody needs another video on how to make biochar, there are thousands already.

I am going sequentially through a curriculum that I developed over the past several years, so in part of that curriculum I show students the various kiln designs and biochar charging methods I have tried. My original goal with this series was so that my former and future students can go back and reference what they learned in my classes. You don't have to watch that one if you already know how to make biochar.
My goal with this biochar project is to regenerate about 55 acres of degraded pasture land. I have a couple videos up about the holistic grazing we have been doing. And now I aim to integrate biochar. The challenge is, while my family back home keeps on the grazing part, I only can work on the biochar part when I am in America. But your suggestion to show the effects of the char is a good one. I'll keep it in mind and hopefully document it to make a video.
